The Mecca of mountain biking, Whistler Bike Park, was the host of the first stop of the Downhill BC Premier Series. Mountain biking is a big part of the culture in British-Colombia and race day is a big deal in Whistler, all ages were present. Names From the elementary school to International Super were ready for that challenging course.

The race began on Upper Whistler DH, a great technical start to the season.

This iconic rockface is probably most riders favorite feature but the tight corner at the bottom makes for a real challenge.

Photo epic maybe, but race report? I don't think so. Only a foot note of the elite mens winner, and some really strange captions e.g. "World Cup Champion Claire..." I must have missed the year she won that, but good work Claire!
