I thought Rachel lived at Strait Acres which looked more like the coastline of Elsinore... anyway, there are many ways to swing life things like family/generational wealth, etc....

Alpine is a bit of a drive from La Jolla, if that is where she is. Used to be "cheap" there, doubt it is anymore.
