Vee Tires

Thailand's Vee Tires were showing off the Snap WCE tire developed with the Propain Dirt Sixpack over the past 12 months. It's made with their new Top 40 compound, the most tacky they use on any tyre. They also had a prototype cross country race tyre that uses the same compound due to the greater demands of modern World Cup XC racing combined with the fact it's a far more durable rubber than they first thought.

Vee took to the World Cup circuit for the first time last year and ended the year with Henry Kerr second in the junior overall and this new gravity tyre developed.

This is the XC tire currently in development.

Vee Tires make rubber for all sorts. This is the Gravity Teddy for strider racing.

B-Link

Speaking of high-end strider products, B-Link specializes in carbon cycles for bougie babies.

Prices weren't available but we're guessing in the range of 'not cheap'

A four spoke carbon wheel option is available as an upgrade

This is an 'aero' wheel prototype they're working on... seriously.

Mortop

photo

Mortop have made carbon discs for a while but in Taiepi they took it one step further with this Graphene rotor. The graphene apparently will improve the surface friction, durability and heat dissipation properties of the disc. Mortop are also making a carbon/graphene rim for road bikes

The discs have to be used with this special pad.

Topeak

Topeak are the latest brand to bring a tubeless air canister to the market with this TubiBooster. It fills up to 160psi which should be enough to seat one tire.

They put the forks on that carbon balance bike on the correct way round. You'd think they'd take care to assemble it properly since it's a display bike.

actually a negative offset isn't a bad thing with such small wheels. It helps having a trail value in the good direction.

Pretty sure stem is upside down too - although it may have been a roadie who built it

The last 10 seconds of that tourture test is kinda kinky.

Every kid is going say, "You really expect me to ride that with GEO!!" Make it slacker and I'd think about it.
  • 3 1
I was wondering when graphene would make its way into the scene. This just in: "were ditching carbon fiber and making a newer slacker stronger bike out of graphene, its 5% stronger, 2% slacker, and 100% guaranteed to only make a difference on thw average rides wallet!"

Finally a balance bike my 3 year old approves of. He can't be seen on the block with a $50 balance bike. Cuz denist's have kids too!

Damn I didn't know the Empire made brake rotors

I don't think many people realize just how amazing a rotor made out of graphene truly is.... It's a really unique and incredible material, which is pretty new to the world. The last place I expected to see something like that was in a bike show article! This is why bicycles are awesome.
