This Propain Rage Carbon was turning heads in the X Fusion booth.

Eurobike 2017
Eurobike 2017
Kali have two new low-profile knee pads in the works, the $85 USD Strike (left), and the $65 Mission (right).

Eurobike 2017
DMR has a new build kit for their 160mm Sled - highlights include a coil EXT Storia shock, TRP brakes, and a Reynolds wheelset, with a price tag of 6500 Euro.

Eurobike 2017
The fastest XC bike in the world.

Eurobike 2017
The new Xpedo Neo GFX has a composite cage around the clip-in mechanism, and a claimed weight of 440 grams.

Eurobike 2017
Who doesn't need a Park Tool spork hanging from their workbench?

Eurobike 2017
Transition had their 2018 lineup on display, with a Sentinel frame mounted on top of a graphic that illustrates their SBG concept.

Eurobike 2017
The new Instinct has 29' wheels, 140mm of travel, and Rocky Mountain's Ride-9 adjustable geometry system.

Eurobike 2017
Liteville's 301 has gone through multiple revisions over the years - the current model uses EightPins' integrated dropper post.

Eurobike 2017
A look inside the EightPins integrated dropper. The post's 'pins' sit into the grooves that are milled into the stanchion tube's walls; they retract when the lever is depressed, allowing the post to drop down.

Eurobike 2017
Dartmoor's new Bluebird Pro 29 has, as you'd guess, 29" wheels, and 130mm of travel delivered by a single pivot suspension layout.

Eurobike 2017
There was a wide variety of body armor on display at Eurobike, much of it designed to be lower profile and less obtrusive than the Stormtrooper-esque suits of the past, including this top from iXS.

Eurobike 2017
BMC's Speedfox 01 has a mechanism that controls the shock's low-speed compression settings depending on if the seat is raised or lowered. When it's all the way down, the shock is fully open, and when the post is extended the shock is put into a firmer setting.

I own a Pugsley fatbike and I'm going to put an electric motor on it pretty soon. It will be the ultimate tool hauling, trail building machine.

@pbuser23411: a mate of mine has put a throttle motor on his on-one fatbike. It's a bonkers machine.

 Liteville are shit!
Rear shock on the bike had a defect after the first 7 rides and Liteville won't do shit, despite claiming to offer a 10 year warranty.

Their CEO called me and told me that Fox CTD doesn't work with rider over 70 kg/155 pounds - on an XL frame??? Fox told me it wasn't true.

Second lie was when they had the shock in to look at. Said worked fine. After that I send it to Fox who said it was defective and needed repair. 120 euros again and yet again proof that their shit CEO was lying to me - seriously the CEO of Liteville! How f'ing low is that!?

They should definitely alter their name to a more suiting; Shiteville???? if you ask me!
  • 57 1
Soooooo.... I'm not quite sure.... Do you like the bike or not?
  • 16 2
Not really sure why Liteville should be responsible for warranty on a part that isn't theirs, sure bummer it failed but Fox should have been the first contact. Also sounds like poor follow up from Liteville which is disappointing.
  • 20 4
@dirtrider410: may be a bit of a stretch but if you buy a brand new car and a shock goes bad do you go back to the dealer who warrantied you or contact the shock manufacturer? i know its different but when you buy a complete bike new it should be the bike companys first priority to make sure you have a working bike.

Well, id never have believed anyone on pinkbike would buy one of those stupid things, but you proved there's a market, and destroyed it in one swoop. Glad you chimed in here and reaffirmed what 99.999% of anyone who will ever read your dissatisfaction could have told you.

 Lietoville

That sounds like a really shitty deal. Makes me glad I don't pay the extra money to have some tard build the whole bike, when I can just hand pick every component. If you had bought the liteville bike at for example chainreactioncycles, they would have fixed it for free. Apparently when dealing with the likes of Liteville you need a responsible middleman like CRC to make sure everything goes kocher.
I had some trouble with my Hope Tech V4 front brake caliper detaching while riding, because of a badly designed Manitou Dorado 2015 brake caliper adapter. Manitou Dorado brake adapter broke in half, and the left Manitou Dorado stanchion and brake caliper was ripped/scratched. The Hope V4 brakes cost me £500 and the Dorado brake adapter £30, all bought at CRC. I could have had all broken parts replaced only if I bought a complete bike from CRC, as if they would have a Mondraker Summum with Manitou Dorado and Hope V4 brakes. Since it was £30 Manitou the brake adapter that broke, the brake adapter was all CRC replaced. In the end I had to pay £150 for a new left Manitou Dorado stanchion. I did get a new Hope braided brake hose for free from CRC out of mercy. My new purple Hope V4 caliper now looks like shit. Manitou has now moved on to another design of brake adapter, which I had to buy separately and install myself. When I got into mountainbiking, I didn't know I also needed a Harvard law degree.

Parts not made by the bike manufacturer are not warrantied by the bike manufacturer. The 10 year warranty is on their frame, as that is what they make. If you think that applies to every single part on a bike then that's your own fault.

I would like to offer a counter example of Litevilles customer experience! I ordered a frame with a defective chainstay out of the box. One of the welds extruded to far inside the chainstay which prevented me from running the gear housing through the frame. They express shipped me a new chainstay straight from Taiwan. Sorry about your poor experience, but I have had excellent customer service with the north american distributor.

"Mooking" is riding a unicycle naked, while playing the flute. This activity was previously out of reach unless you could ride a unicycle. Now that you can do this on any bike, mooking will be exploding worldwide.

When ever I see Dartmoor bikes, it makes me think if the worst place I have had the displeasure of repeatedly riding. Grass. Mud. Grass. Mud. Angry ramblers. Grass. Mud. Yet I think the brand is Polish not from Devon.

You forgot rain. Endless rain or hellish baking sun. I do still like going there though! IIRC, the owner went there on holiday and fell in love with the place, hence the name.
  • 3 1
You also forgot bogs and gates. Oh and every kind of animal excrement you can imagine. And riding for 2 hours with only 2 x 2 minutes of actual enjoyment if your lucky. But it is beautiful, in it's own special way, and you see alot more off it by bike than on foot.

Litevilles always give me erections, but then I realize they don't have ISCG tabs and I go limp.

Why aren't ISCG tabs on every bike with 100mm of travel? I enjoy trying to get up/over things on all of my rides, and I don't like buying new chainrings if I fail.

Am I alone in this?
  • 1 0
You don't always need iscg for a bash and yes with these slacked out low rigs no one does old school log rolls or tech boulder bashing anymore. I would also point to narrow wide and clutch drivetrains but they have a ghetto chain tensioner on the bike.

The comment under Nino's bike should rather read:

"The bike of fastest XC racer in the world.
I'm Aaron Gwin and I approve this message."

Knowing how much abuse my park tools have endured over the years that spork is probably a better choice than most brands that make actual camping gear
  • 1 0
Ha! I thought is was just a tradeshow talking point, not a real thing. Nope, it's real...http://www.parktool.com/product/park-tool-spork-spk-1

The linkage pivots upwards to snag your shorts, or anything else you might have hanging around.
