Its interesting that nobody understands the riders point of view- a competition with friends, memories, and the strong possibility someone may not be the same person after this, compounded by a long and grueling delay ravaging their work. For sure, there are the smiles, the grins, but what pain might that person carry in their face ever after? Scars? Grimaces? Regret? No one is exactly "stoked" to face their biggest fears- and if you haven't done that, your doing something wrong at rampage. I'm sure many are as dissillusioned as Aaron's work suggests. Great work.
No one is exactly stoked to face their biggest fears? Have you ever seen these guys faces immediately after a run? Have you ever heard Lacondaguy immediately after anything awesome happens ever? Whatever you might think, they aren't just doing it for the money. Or the glory. 99% of them do it for "that feeling". Look at the "locals rampage" that sprang up at the old site when qualies were rained off. And I must say I don't see the same suggestion of disillusion that you are seeing in this vid. I see excitement. Tension and nerves perhaps, but no one looks like they are about to go home. I could be wrong tho.
Orange is the new black opening can be had here www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBITGyJynfA for those who haven't seen the show and don't get it. Most of the world doesn't get netflix. If you know or are a nerd you can get a U.S. isp No. or whatever and pay by credit card. I have a friend who does it but I just stream it for free. The first season starts out funny and has some interesting girl on girl action but gets too dramatic for me after a while.
