Brandon Semenuk seconds prior to over rotating and exploding his rear wheel echoing a deafening sound through the village.
Zink got stuck twice on the cabin today and finally made it off on the third attempt. Brett Rheeder has style for miles.
Left: Rheeder with a 360 barspin. Right: Cam Zink with a 360.
Rheeder looking good per usual.
Kelly McGarry knows a thing or two about fixing cranks helping out his old teammate Carson Storch.
Zink flat drop flipping the start gate feature. Yannick Granieri full gaper. 69 points for that one.
Greg Watts with a no-hander. Tomas Genon with a toboggan. Nicholi Rogatkin showing off what he's going to unleash in finals. He was absolutely putting down huge tricks today and could easily put the top dogs in some different placing. Paul Genovese looking really solid out there with a 1 foot euro table.
Brett Rheeder. Nicholi Rogatkin with a Cork 720. Anthony Messere getting dirt nasty.
Torquato Testa was the only rider to make an attempt in finals yesterday, he didn't make it down very far but was putting down an incredible run to start out with.
The waiting game continues until Sunday...
Brandon Semenuk and Logan Peat getting ready to head up for an early practice. Cam Zink playing with pre Joyride jitters. Every rider has them, even experienced riders like Zink.
Mehdi Ghani getting game on with some Iron Maiden. We think that band is older than he is by a few years. Pre-comp comraderie: Anthony Messerie and Yannick Grannieri
Adrian Marcoux with a photo bomb on Zink while Joe Parkin gets the analog insta banger.
Left: Yannick Graneri "chalking" his hands with dust to help keep his hands from slipping on his grips. Right: The new kid on the block may be an almost unknown kid from Italy, but Testa Torquato is well educated in the school of hard knocks.
Yannick Graneri's superman seat grab Indian backflip was one of the most impressive tricks on record today..
Carson Storch was looking solid but, he unfortunately got his cables stuck in a bar spin off the wall ride and hit the deck. He's in good spirits with a confirmed broken collarbone.
Left: Semenuk truck-driver off the start drop. Right: Brett Rheeder flat drop flip can.
Sam Pilgrim tailwhip up onto the cabin, not one feature here was left un-tricked as if they were, scores would be brought down exponentially.
Big tricks come with massive consequences. Zink got buck wild and ended up doing a double superman. All the pressure was on Brett Rheeder today to win all three Crankworx Joyride events and he couldn't quite hold on. Everyone wished to see Brett put down a clean run, and he wanted it bad. All that aside, Brett finished his run with some crowd pleasing ninja skills.
Yannick Graneri tuck no hander. On his first attempt Rogatkin flatted on what had promised to be a killer run.
Greg Watts on run number one with the 360 suicide no hander. Tailwhips, 360s and backflips were the stock trick off the opening drop. Grannieri getting all twisted up with the super man seat grab Indian backflip. Just thinking about that makes me ill.
Yannick Granieri got his bike stuck in a very peculiar place.
Sam Reynolds 360 off the start drop. Yannick Granieri tailwhip off the wood box.
Kelly McGarry and KC Dean head banging Greg Watts on. SLAYERRRR Party on Wayne.
Semenuk with the sick drop in of his winning run. So smooth from the start... It's safe to say that his 4 wins will likely never be duplicated here.
Above: Logan Peat reflecting on what might have been. Below: A very disappointed Brett Rheeder rolling through the line.
Semenuk making history!
Brandon Semenuk (1st), Nicholi Rogatkin (2nd), Thomas Genon (3rd). Overall king of slopestyle Brett Rheeder.
