Red Bull Pump Track World Championship Qualifier

Race Format:
This year's race will be a very exciting head to head pursuit. The track will be equipped with 2 timing units. Riders will race head to head on the track at the same time, starting from opposite ends of the track. Both riders get ready with one foot on the ground, the other foot on the pedal, with the crank arm pointing towards the ground. The clock starts as soon as the riders cross their start/finish line and stop when they cross it again. The rider with the fastest timed run has priority on their start position (1 or 2). The rider with the fastest time advances to the next round. You are allowed to pedal.

Qualified riders and results:
The top 4 riders of each qualifier event in both categories qualify to the Red Bull Pump Track World Championship final. The riders are responsible for their own visa documents and insurances.

The Winners:
Will have their flight and accommodation paid for to attend the Red Bull Pump Track World Championship final. The location of which is yet to be announced, with last year's final being in Arkansas USA. In the event that there are less than 10 riders in one category at any individual qualifier event, the winner of this race will qualify for the Red Bull Pump Track World Championship final but their flights and accommodation will not be paid for by the organiser. Qualifier results and qualified riders for the final will published on the Red Bull website and on all social media channels.

Clip-in pretty widely used term to denote 'clipless' pedals. To distinguish from flats for riders not old enough to know why they are called clipless.

"Riders are not allowed to use clip-in pedals or toes straps" Does that mean clipless pedals are allowed? Or is it flats only?

Flat pedals please, don't want you sliding off those SPD's and causing yourself an injury do we!
