It was cool seeing how excited rach was for Manon. Jumping over the barrier like that. Good sportsmanship at it's finest. I'm stoked for gwin, but devastated for sik mik. Mik has tooooo many 2nd places here. Oh well hopefully mik can get the W at his home race at cairns
Yeah I guess even if it might be thanks to Rachel's sickness, we're all glad to see Manon finally get a first place, she's young and very promising ! And let's not forget about Pompon who finished fifth with a puncture, we can expect a great World Cup for the girls this year !
We had to lol when Rach offered Manon some of her water after crossing the line. Was like "have some of my virus"! Of vourse we know it wasnt ment like that but it was funny...
Jaurl, here's an idea champ. The more you write, the more of dick you come across. Aaron Gwin is being interviewed because he's a bloody good athlete who won a World Cup. Maybe take it on board that your comment was juvenile, out of line and frankly pathetic (hence the 31 negative props), find a quiet place to lie down and move on. Learn that maybe you got flogged here because people generally want other people to be respectful and keep comments above the belt. You said the wrong thing and you were called out on it. Get over it.
-31 just means there's 31 idiots on pinkbike. If you're so smart, how come all the riders from your country suck while my country just got first? I am american so that means me > you, go shove your neg props up your butt
Gutted for Mik as nobody deserved that race more than him. Great to see Blinki on the podium again and this is going to be an interesting season with Gwin, Troy, Bruni, and Ratboy in the mix. I love this sport.
Blinki was not on the podium, Bruni was. Also gutted for Mick Hannah, had hoped he started with a win and followed with another at home in Cairns, still 2nd ain't too bad to start the season with.
The results page were pretty much all we got for DH too... Perhaps give them a little more time before complaining that media companies aren't working extremely hard to give you video highlights on a Sunday moments after the race is over, of an event that isn't the main audience puller.
Bryceland went fastest 1st split in q's. Minaar still at the top in finals. No clear advantage to the 27.5 when v10's are on the pace at the track most suited for the bigger hoop.
not a noticeable shake up in the ranks with regard to wheel size.IMO
it will be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out...
Enough with the "V10 making a case for 26 nonsense!" I think that really what it boils down to is that Santa Cruz was able to make one of those bikes that will always be the benchmark, regardless of wheel size. The V10 is something special, like the Porsche 911. There are a ton of new kids on the block with the highest tech gadgetry, but Santa Cruz have stuck to their guns, continued to refine a design they believe in, and it shows in the results, past, present, and into the foreseeable future. It's not in my opinion making a case for 26", rather it is making a case for refining a design to it's maturity, rather than cranking out a ton of unrefined prototypes and hoping one will show immediate promise.
