@ .44sec he misses the ramp but somehow still makes it. wow
(Feb 12, 2018 at 8:12)
(Feb 12, 2018 at 8:53)
noticed that as well looks like he hopped directly to the transition intentionally.
(Feb 12, 2018 at 9:36)
holy crap. i noticed this too. insane he was able to get up on that ramp after totally missing it.
(Feb 12, 2018 at 9:46)
: i'm pretty sure that was intentional. This way he could ride a straiter line.
(Feb 12, 2018 at 11:05)
and, assuming I got that far, I would have hung the immediately following right onto the roof, instead of the ramp around the left side...
(Feb 12, 2018 at 13:37)
: it's much easier to see here...
(Feb 12, 2018 at 14:02)
: that gives you a better perspective. Plus, I noticed @ 1:21 in his run, the drone footage shows him crossing the road, while about 100m in front of him a giant bus is chugging up the hill headed right towards him. I guess they don't have things like course closures for these urban races? crazy!
(Feb 12, 2018 at 15:12)
Is it mandatory to hit the wall ride at 2:18? looks like one would easily shave some time by not.
(Feb 15, 2018 at 22:16)
: it is, of course. Coming out of a corner i think it would be slower not to as you'd have to brake for it.
(Feb 12, 2018 at 7:17)
Showing that much confidence on the bike in such a frightening place is frankly...terrifying
(Feb 13, 2018 at 23:26)
Holy...freakin...crap. I want that skill... watching that had me practically hyperventilating. I would be dead within a couple TTF's.
(Feb 12, 2018 at 9:58)
Could there be just a little more coverage on this kind of events? I missed the livestream just because i didn‘t know it even happened. I don‘t know, maybe i just didn‘t check Instagram at the right time or maybe i‘m not on the right websites often enough or mark dates like this on my calendar, but missing a livestream like this because i didn‘t know it was on makes me think these events could be way more popular with lots of people if a broadcast would be announced, even with just a little bit of hype.
i followed slopestyle last year and there too it was baffling how difficult (not very, but it required some searching and knowing when exactly the event would take place) it could be, for gold events at least, to find out when or if they would air...
(Feb 12, 2018 at 14:38)
Seriously, I can never get enough MTB coverage, country be damned. I'm a US citizen, and by all propaganda I'm supposed to be worried about Russia and Russian antagonist. --I don't even care about that crap, I just want more Downmall coverage!
I don't care that I can't speak Finish, Spanish, Russian or German, I want a localized place for all worldly MTB schedules with a link to their streams services so I can check the schedule regularly and find when I should tune in for an event. If it were an app, I could set up notifications for regional and/or discipline type events to notify me when a schedule is posted.
And, I suck at programming, so someone else needs to get on this, ASAP!
(Feb 12, 2018 at 17:03)
: download the Red Bull app to any smartphone and it will allow you to set reminders. It has a full list of upcoming covered events should you put a little bit more effort into it
(Feb 13, 2018 at 5:17)
Why are you down voting the guy that gave you EXACTLY the information you asked for? Redbull.tv and the Red Bull app provide the scheduling.
(Feb 13, 2018 at 6:17)
: Exactly. The Red Bull TV app is one of the few that I allow to send reminder notifications. I received a couple last week advising that the race was coming up and I watched it live.
(Feb 12, 2018 at 6:50)
Those boys are insane. Matt Walker killing it in his first urban race! Damn!!
(Feb 12, 2018 at 6:43)
I love these races, especially the Mexico race, cannot say why except they are unique and like seeing the interface of mtb and everyday living space.
(Feb 12, 2018 at 6:47)
That is frightening to watch.
(Feb 12, 2018 at 6:44)
(Feb 12, 2018 at 7:36)
The only thing going through my head was what would happen if one of those poor guys clipped a bar end in that massive staircase .
(Feb 12, 2018 at 12:38)
Like Hannah in 2016?
(Feb 12, 2018 at 15:09)
: Have not watched that footage before. Unbelievable
(Feb 12, 2018 at 18:14)
: how did he just get up and go on like that!
(Feb 12, 2018 at 19:20)
: WTF. That's separated shoulder and broken bones for me....
(Feb 13, 2018 at 13:46)
: I watched that live at work when it happened! I was sure that was it for Mick's run!!
(Feb 15, 2018 at 22:21)
The guy 'are you ok? Are you ok? '
Hannah be like 'yeah (why are you asking?)'
What an animal!
: No kidding! The guy is just amazing!
(Feb 12, 2018 at 7:47)
Beautiful. Single crown fork, Lyrik, no less =)
(Feb 12, 2018 at 14:05)
Yeah that blew my mind. Some of those stair set gaps are meaty and to do it not on a DH bike is impressive!
(Feb 12, 2018 at 20:50)
: thank you!!!!! Seriously was waiting for someone to recognize the TRAIL Bike Taking the win!!
(Feb 13, 2018 at 5:12)
I thought they used to have a rule that everyone had to ride dual crown forks... I guess that's not the case anymore?
(Feb 12, 2018 at 13:59)
No matter how much I looked up the camera stayed pointed down. Was still cool though.
(Feb 12, 2018 at 8:46)
I have sweaty hands just watching this...! Wow!
(Feb 12, 2018 at 6:42)
Wow, just a .5 second gap at the end between 1st and second. That was tight!
(Feb 12, 2018 at 6:41)
Would like to see Slaviks Enduro bike. Is it the Ghost FR AMR..?
(Feb 12, 2018 at 9:19)
They managed to put a fence all the way down so the dogs cannot jump in front of riders. Good decision!
(Feb 12, 2018 at 6:32)
Congrats to the racers, but I will never get used to these urban downhill races. Much prefer dirt and trees.
(Feb 12, 2018 at 7:12)
dirt dont hurt... that much..
(Feb 12, 2018 at 15:11)
are we not talking about his bike?
(Feb 16, 2018 at 1:44)
The difference of the investment in chile for Brazil is absurd !!! Look at the number of patrons and the level of companies. We have a lot to learn, starting with serious organizers.
(Feb 13, 2018 at 23:18)
Insane race but incredible bad coverage from RedBull TV. The camera positions and perspectives are so awful for such a action sport event (fe bus jump). Same thing on the last Rampage.
(Feb 13, 2018 at 13:03)
Would have been way cooler if they let him/them jump a GT-R vs. whatever the f*ck that was, since Nissan seemed to be plastered everywhere on that track...
(Feb 12, 2018 at 12:12)
Great event, but the camerawork and overall coverage by Red Bull TV was really bad.
(Feb 13, 2018 at 7:51)
I have to ask, if these guys are winning on enduro bikes is it really a dh race?
(Feb 13, 2018 at 17:52)
These guys consistently take taking it to the next level to the next level.
(Feb 12, 2018 at 16:11)
INSANE...But a ton of fun to watch Talented racers run these urban courses..Major props to them.
(Feb 12, 2018 at 6:53)
Was he racing his hard-tail again?
(Feb 12, 2018 at 14:17)
This is only for the crazy people, I was constantly scared to death just watching the run! :-D BIG PROPS TO THE RIDERS!!!
(Feb 12, 2018 at 7:06)
that.. was .. epic
(Feb 12, 2018 at 7:56)
looks like stairs at 0;32 are a bit wider than before !! great decision.. too unhealthy before!!
(Feb 12, 2018 at 8:49)
same as before
(Feb 12, 2018 at 10:50)
they used plus boosted stairs this year
(Feb 12, 2018 at 11:16)
: they are exactly 28.99mm wider...
(Feb 14, 2018 at 2:14)
(Feb 12, 2018 at 7:42)
45sec blow my mind
(Feb 12, 2018 at 6:55)
It's crazy wahouou!
(Feb 12, 2018 at 9:09)
That course if fucking gnarly!!! Slavik is an assassin

(Feb 14, 2018 at 3:04)
(Feb 13, 2018 at 0:44)
(Feb 13, 2018 at 0:47)
(Feb 13, 2018 at 0:01)
That's some crazy shit!

(Feb 12, 2018 at 20:22)
Looking forward to the day when "downhill" courses are ran on DOWNHILL bikes. Call me a stickler, but event organizers need to either rename the race OR imply a 10 second penalty for anything less than 200mm of travel. This isn't just the urban series I'm talking about... you see trail bikes all thru local DH series in California, Colorado and elsewhere.
(Feb 13, 2018 at 3:16)
what do you care?
did someone local at your favorite race dust you with his little sisters banana seated cruiser and make you all butthurt?
(Feb 13, 2018 at 5:24)
My trail bike has more travel than most early DH bikes. The use of more versatile bikes in DH is called “progress.” Sam Hill doesn’t give a damn what you think.
(Feb 13, 2018 at 9:23)
: ooohhh, burn! Actually, no, I did not get beat. Quit jumping to conclusions and do some research. Or maybe ask questions without looking like a complete jerk...
A: I was looking to spark a debate
B: Wouldn't you agree that it makes the DH bike obsolete when everyone shows up on a trail bike and able to race the same course?
(Feb 13, 2018 at 14:15)
: The way I see it, the event organizers set up the run, its up to the rider to determine what equipment is needed to achieve their goal on said run. Is the best tool for the job a DH bike? Maybe.
Is it an endure bike? Again, maybe.
If I had sponsors willing to replace my frames when I break them, you better believe I'm riding the lightest frame to get me through whatever course I'm on.
