Follow Reece Wallace as he travels to New Zealand to escape the Canadian winter and ride some of the best trails in the world. Reece enjoyed all of which Queenstown had to offer, as well as ending his trip with competing at Crankworx Rotorua

Reece also had some time to play around at Skyline Mountain Bike Park on his Glory. Nothing like getting sendy on 'Huck Yah'!

Gorge Road is fun too

I won't be able to die peacefully unless I ride at the jump spot, even though it will be on the table line Razz

That's why you gotta go there for like a month, just ride it every day. And work up to the big line!

Can someone answer me what Glory frame size Reece is riding and how tall he is? Seems with his super playful riding he is going with smaller frames i guess.

Thx in advance

I am just 5'7'' and have a 2013 Glory with S frame but it feels a bit too small for me...

I assume the new geometry is a bit longer in reach and everything, so can i go for a S frame again and have the bit longer bike then. The old giant Website is not giving any reach measurement for the 2013 models and measuring myself is probably not comparable then, as you never know how companies exactly measure..

Seems like a nice place to ride..
What bike is he riding in the DJ segment ?
  • 2 0
He's riding a custom Giant STP. Giant stopped public production of them several years ago, but it used to be their DJ/Slopestyle bike

@theeastcoastcrew: I always found that odd that they don't make it anymore and promote Reece riding it so much

@Goatguy: I remember hearing they only sold, like, 200 worldwide in 2015(?) or w/e the last year of it was. And in the world of accountants and shareholders that was enough to pull the plug I guess.

What is up with that brake setup at 2:51? why are there two cables going into one brake?
  • 1 0
Its a gyro, for doing barspins and tailwhips.
  • 1 0
A cable brake, not hydraulic, so when the cable splits up top to enter the "gyro" the 2 cables cant then be re joined, so 2 cables are run right to the caliper and both clamped in. From what I can tell. A lot of slope guys are running various different gyro setups both hyd and cable.
