Lindsey always starts off the camps with a welcome speech about growing the community and celebrating facing fears believing in ourselves and accomplishing more than we thought possible.

"I started Ladies AllRide to encourage more women to get involved with mountain biking and over the past three years we've witnessed the incredible growth of female mountain bikers across the globe," says Lindsey Richter, Founder and Director of Inspiration for Ladies AllRide.

"All of us at Ladies AllRide are continually grateful to have a role in this movement. We remain committed to our mission to get more women excited about mountain biking through fun, innovative and inspirational skills camps. We are charging into 2018 with our stellar team of passionate coaches ready to inspire ladies to realize what they're capable of on and off their bikes."

The Liv Ladies AllRide camps are dedicated to inspiring women to accomplish more than they thought possible on and off the bike. An important component to that are the education stations at the camps where women learn about setting up and adjusting suspension, fixing flat tires, bike maintenance, gear and so much more.

"SRAM Women’s Program is determined as ever to get more women on bikes. By supporting programs like Ladies AllRide we are making big steps in achieving that goal by demystifying bikes and bike culture. The Ladies AllRide program is aimed at removing barriers like fear and intimidation by utilizing an approach that is welcoming of all skill levels. These ladies shred and they love to share their passion with ladies who are willing to throw a leg over a bike," said Sara Jarrell, SRAM Women’s Program Coordinator.

Lindsey explains, "Our Ladies AllRide coaching philosophy is built around the technical components of riding as well as the symmetry between mountain biking and life. We understand how women can get stuck with negative, debilitating thoughts that inhibit their growth on a bike and in life. It starts by giving them the tools to have a deeper understanding of the sport. When ladies begin to understand what their bikes need from them to get over obstacles they can accomplish more than they thought possible. The goal is to help women understand the mechanics of the sport, while also helping them think thoughts that help keep the wheels rolling forward."

Former participant Agnes Rodriguez, who now works for Ladies AllRide says: "The camps are well-organized and extremely inviting. The pre-clinic evening happy-hour is a big hit where ladies enjoy snacks and beverages while they make nameplates and mingle with coaches and new friends. The two-day weekend sessions begin with morning skills and drills practice followed by lunch, a raffle and afternoon trail shredding. It doesn't matter if you're a seasoned mountain biker or brand new to the sport, there is something for everyone at a Ladies AllRide camp and it's an experience of a lifetime finding out what you can get your bike to do!"

I'd love to get one or both of my daughters into one of these, but they all seem to be adult oriented, so I'm not sure they would take a 9 and 12 year old. Hope to see something like this in the PNW for younger ladies too!

They did recently announce that they're going to be doing a Girls AllRide for girls under the age of 18 at select camps. More info to come here: www.ladiesallride.com/girls-allride.html

It's also worth mentioning that a lot of these coaches do private lessons as well, so if your girls had a group of friends who might be interested, maybe you could band together and hire a coach for a girls only session. Could be a fun way to get rad with all their friends!

@latuamater: Sadly these seem to be the only kids in their school who ride to any moderate degree, but I do like the idea of the private lessons (although the social aspect is pretty cool). Might just be something to look into, as well as the under 18 camps!

@Mazdamia: Awww man, that's a bummer. Maybe they could introduce some of their friends to mountain biking via a group lesson from a coach? As long as they already know how to ride a bike they would be off to a great start!

Grit Clinics runs the Ladies AllRide clinics, and they're actually based in Bend, Oregon. I would reach out to them to see if they can make something happen. They've got folks all over the PNW and across the country. They're a good bunch and lots of fun to work with. Smile

Edit: also you could look at sweetlines.com/kids
