Relief is the story of two friends (Ludovic and Nicolas) passionate about mountain biking and from the south-east of France who decided a little more than 2 years ago, to launch a brand of technical apparel, sustainable and especially made in France.

Making our products in France is a matter of course for us! The industry is there: manufacturers, weavers, sewing workshops, design offices. Everything is present in France, you just have to want it.

At Relief, we pay particular attention to the quality of our raw materials. We are fortunate to have some of the best weavers of the world in France. It is in close collaboration with them and, according to our technical requirements, that we are constantly looking for new materials which will make our equipment of tomorrow.

At Relief, we develop our products in-house. Our cuts and patterns are unique. They are the result of several hours of testing in order to find the right compromise !

For the manufacturing process, we have also chosen the Made In France ! Developing a product close to home offers speed, flexibility and quality. This proximity allows us to regularly control our production methods in order to guarantee a level of quality that is always optimal.

Today, in our catalog, we offer complete outfits with jerseys, pants, shorts and socks! Everything to ride dirty!
In addition to being ethical and local, all our products must be resistant and have been ridden at the highest level with this year Leona Pierrini in DH world cup or Ben Moore.

More than 9 months of development and prototyping were necessary to realize these mountain bike pants made in France.

The waistband was designed from a solid and rigid fabric to provide a good support. To reinforce this support, a large siliconized band is placed on the lower back. The cut is higher at the rear, to ensure that the your back is always covered when pedaling. A small zippered pocket, designed to store your bike park pass or energy bars, is located at the back of the belt.

Regarding the closure, we collaborate with the German brand Fidlock©, specialist in magnetic fixations. It is composed of 2 parts, the base is fixed on the belt and the tightening wheel is clipped on. All you have to do is turn it counterclockwise to adjust the desired tightening precisely. To loosen it is simple, just pull to detach the wheel.

We wanted resistance and comfort for the main fabric. It's done with this French fabric that will make you feel like in a jogging while being very technical! The pluses: A multidirectional stretch, a quick drying and a high resistance. We have adjusted the cut at the ankles and preformed the knee to facilitate the wearing of knee pads.
Two large side zippered pockets provide extra storage.

At the crotch, the use of mesh fabric will bring ventilation to these pants and therefore more comfort!
All this is, of course, made in France !

Socks
The NINES (Patois word for a little girl)

We wanted socks that are thin, resistant and comfortable. One of the most beautiful French companies, labeled EPV (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) in Haute-Vienne, is in charge of the manufacturing.
We chose a polyamide thread for its resistance and comfort. To increase the support, the thread is associated with just enough elastane so that it is neither too flexible, nor not enough!
On the instep, you’ll find 2 ventilated zones to quickly evacuate perspiration to the outside. Between these 2 zones, we have inserted a support band to reinforce the whole.

Why "Relief" Name ?

If we had to choose one word to explain what we love about mountain biking, it would be this: RELIEF (landforms in french). Relief is the mountain and everything that goes with it, like some endless climbs and, above all, adrenaline-filled descents looking for your PR.
The relief is about escape and constant wonderment at the beauty of nature.
The relief is also the postcard of our home: the Maritime Alps, our corner of France that we love so much!
