I raced in the U.S. Qualifier in Paris Texas. It was such a good experience and the all the athletes there were really welcoming. I really enjoy the pump track both Velosolutions and Crankworx format.
Couldn't get into this one, the format without head-to-head racing killed it. Plus, multiple cameras, jumping from section to section is 13 seconds made it really hard to see what was going on.
Proof that front suspension is useless for pump track. So why do we see pump track events with only front suspension MTB ? Doesn't make sense. Use the right tool for the job.
You mean at Crankworx? I think it is because for some reason RockShox chose to be the title sponsor of the pumptrack race there. Then again, which component company would even make for a good pumptrack sponsor? It is all about the rider, after all.
In around '94, ProForx were Answer's BMX suspension forks. Pro BMX racers got a 100$ bonus for winning a race with them. As far as I know, all the pros had them welded stiff.
I think it could be correct , there's a big difference between enduring 10g for 1/8 of a second vs sustaining it. If you drop your phone on the ground , it experiences alot of g when it hits the carpet , but only for a tiny amount of time.
If anyone, Velosolutions hasn't held back in the past building pumptracks for the less privileged. Sadly, some loons are dumping advanced weapons on Palestine just to make sure no one survives so digging a pumptrack there is a bit dangerous at the moment. Would be lovely to see things settle down a little so that people actually get to do some pumptrack riding there (and stay alive).
Anyway, great stuff, and glad to hear a bit of Claudio!
I’d love to see how my old GT BMX stacks up
