Results & Photos: Round 1 Of The Revolution Enduro - Buffalo Creek Enduro

Revolution Enduro's first round brought us to Buffalo Creek, Colorado. With over 27 miles and 5 stages, on one day, this sold out race was one of the most physically challenging on RE's four round calendar. Buffalo Creek is a well known zone for Denver residents and this would mark the first enduro race ever for the area. The terrain includes dense pine forest, impressive towers of granite rock, burn areas, and is surrounded by snowy peaks of the Rocky Mountains and the Pike National Forest.

Conditions couldn't have been better come race weekend. Rain on and off Friday through race day made the trails near perfect for racing. This was a stark contrast from the usual dry and loose conditions that had racers calling this event "Buffalo Drift" or as Nate Hills said "kitty litter surfing". Racers were surprised and singing a different tune on race day. Stoke was high for the 200 racers that descended on Buffalo Creek.
















After stage 3 there was an aid station with mechanic support courtesy of Wheat Ridge Cyclery before a shuttle up to stage 4 transfer.

Round 2 is at Granby Ranch in Colorado on June 17th. Granby will be more gravity orientated with several of the stages in the bike park. It is a one day event is great for the first time enduro racer to seasoned pros. Registration is filling fast so sign up now! For more information click here.
