Brad J is the worst announcer
  • 16 2
He has no idea about what he's talking about most of the time.

 He seems nice

Yea of course he is a nice guy. He needs to not try to create drama in a chill event and learn the names and what each rider looks like because to the fans it is extremely obvious. There is no need for extra screaming "oh oh oh" and hype. An announcer should be educated in the craft they are presenting

I love watching pumptrack, but they need to get the start sorted to make it fair and exciting. It's all about having close battles, which doesn't happen when riders don't know the start count, which they changed half way through, or some guys like Joost continually jump the gun and don't get called on it.

Right?! I was thinking the whole time, how unprofessional the starting was and how embarrassing it was for them not to have that more regulated. Yea I get that its not east putting on an event of that size and its all about having fun. But at the same time if you are calling this the pinnacle event for gravity mountain biking of all sorts, the lineup should be sorted out. I couldn't believe the announcers never even mentioned that 25% of the wins were due to faulty starts by the opposing rider. Put an * next to that win.

Go figure, a country without mountains takes the double on the pump track challenge
  • 4 1
@ Nobility: A pump track doesn't have mountains, but bumps and we have some of those
  • 5 0
 Exactly my point

Anneke and Joost are ex BMXers - that helps you don't need mountains to Excel in pumptrack godverdomme

Im Getting tired of beeing told who the main sponsor in every event/clip/in-between-bull-ish. Their logo is just fine, we all Know who They Are god damnit..
  • 1 0
Just make sure to not forget to "Drink Something"
  • 3 1
When I see anything Red Bull the drink never even crosses my mind. I just think ALL THINGS BAD ASS!
  • 1 0
It's not Redbull im thinking of, i didnt even think about those guys and gals. In just sayin, when you watch the olympics, They tell you in the commercal who is standing behind the event. Here, it's every ****** time They mention the diffrent disciplines, EVERY TIME. I could go out and say the comentator is shiet, but he didnt write that STUPID shit.

I agree, one year I got so f*cked off with hearing the phrase Kokanee Crankworx 200x powered by SRAM or similar everytime one of the presenters mentioned something (usually just after a 10 second intro clip) that I stopped watching the event.

It's not just in MTB that it drives me mad. Some bigger sports with several title sponsors are even worse.
