If I remember correctly a German bike webpage stated that Ghost might stop its racing team next year and already stopped producing frames for the race team so Fischbach bought a Demo 8 with his own money to continue racing. It might be because Ghost bikes was recently sold to another bike brand with a WC racing team or something. Can't find the news at moment... Sorry.
certainly knocks my opinion of them down a bit. Sure, Enduro is the hot ticket, but to not have a dh bike from a mountain bike company is too bad, and, well...wrong
I think Basil Weber rode the seeding run chainless and got 7th.
But honestly the track in Leogang isn't that pedally, the motorway consists mostly of jumps and a flat out rock garden, I think the wind is way more important, with some tailwind and tucking you're probably faster than no wind and sprinting.
It was tailwind for most of the weekend except Saturday morning and instead of just rolling and scrubbing I had to pedal and pull for some jumps, it was a huge difference.
you are totally right. Its a shame for Ghost in my opinion. Very bad advertisement!
