 Amazing how tight professional racing is. An hour and a half race and a 25 second gap is significant. I chase after top Strava times on 20 min segments and I'm like yessssss, only off by 2 minutes, I'm right there! LOL!

 Well done Kate and Henrique. Hopefully forthcoming races will genuinely more 'Internazionali' and not 95% Italian.

 Any race is a good race. Especially since the season only 7 races. It should be double that.

 After a quick search of race results posts, it seems the men’s results are always posted first. How about mixing it up and alternating between men and women’s results first? Crankworx has been doing similar things for a while now.

 When it comes to reporting any kind of data I like it more that there is consistency, it makes it easier to find the results you are looking for fast.

 I guess Specialized either sold all their bikes and forgot the team riders or that “All new awesome slacker geometry Epic” ain’t all that awesome.

 Great to see Nino gets a run for his money these days!

 The only race he can't win is against father time!

 Santa Cruz pivot back to XCO is paying early dividends Also, 15 DNF from 80 male riders - course claimed some casualties!

 @caltife And a whole bunch more that didn't complete 8 laps too.

 Americans want to get out and ride a true cross country trail, not go around in a circle for an hour and a half. Americans that are into that watch NASCAR, probably the most boring racing ever. These riders are in amazing shape, but it isn’t really the same as doing 10-12 mile loops like back in the day.

 It is all about $$ if there is tv coverage and letting the fans (pre covid). Short loops mean fewer cameras and the fans see the riders more.
  • 1 1
 That race format is dead. It’s not coming back. XC racing is in no way related to actually cross country riding. And sorry you had to do loops back in the day, even deeper in history, it was just one 20-25 mile loop.

 @like2pedal: XCM is massive no?

 We have Kate, we don’t need any US men! Word is, the US mtb men are “training” with the US men soccer team....
