I'd love to see a follow up interview with Evan. How's the pro life treating you? What's different than you expected? Have your PRs improved since going pro? What's your best result to date and what's your goal for this season? Etc

@freestyIAM: Brett Tippie interviewed Evan on his podcast. Worth a listen. As are just about all of Tippie’s podcasts.

For a competition happening in Scotland, they could have mentioned the homeland of each British by using their respective flag instead of this bloody Union Jack. I know it's not my business but personally I do care about such "details".

As a Scotsman I agree with this comment.

Calm down! It's just a flag!

@ronanwhitts: we're all in this together, part of the union. Great Britain (obvious tongue in cheek here)

It's not fair for the English. The cross of St. George is seen as racist. If we use that flag people think we are arseholes. Hence, I wouldn't ever use it. The Scots and Welsh are considered plucky and strong when using their own flags. I'm not going to say it's a double standard, but it is unfortunate for the English. I'm not a football hooligan and I don't wear Adidas tracky bottoms, but the two seem to go hand in hand with the St. George's cross.

Were there amateur classes that had more women? Just surprised by the low showing for the women's class at a national event. Purely curious, not throwing a jab.

Yeah mate there was a big turn out of women it was good to see from all ages and kids!

Shame Calum lost his chain whilst out in the lead. Boy has some future ahead of him. Needs to be snapped up by a big team ASAP
  • 1 0
What stage did he lose his chain! Did you do it yourself mate!
  • 1 0
@Meganstuart1: I ran up the hill to ping it off.... nah, I was riding in Torridon off the lollipop loop, conditions were amazing and the riding fantastic apart from a huge crash.
He lost his chain on several stages (but didnt have a full chain device on, not sure why anyone would risk that in Enduro)

Its all over his instagram, to be fair, he is flying just now, not bad for someone who is still working full time in a manual job and managing to train for riding on top of that!

@betsie: I’m one off them 2 lol, I just got lucky! I’m gutted I never got a chance to watch the pro’s. I think after that ride he probably and hopefully will get some sort of help or ride!

@Meganstuart1: he won the first SDA beating Reece and was 10th at the first Nationals in Rheola too.
Not a bad start to his season, will see what next weekend brings.

Can't wait for SDA/BDS at Fort William, slight injury but that's racing.
