The Denim Destroyer back at it again!!
  • + 49
Him and Trummer, quite a story.
  • + 11
 JVK - JVK - JVK
  • + 14
I really hope he qualifies for the live feed!!!!
  • + 3
Supposed to rain, and I dont know if you've ever worn wet jeans but it's not pretty
  • + 15
@Tmackstab: he has jeggings for the wet
  • + 1
@tobiusmaximum: Ahh ok all is well.
  • + 72
Look at Minaar. Look at him! Old enough to be someone's dad and still keeping pace with the fastest of the fast. That's why he is the G.O.A.T
  • + 29
Amen brother!!! Comon Minnaar!!! Give us one more win!!!
  • + 11
@jomacba: If he's only gonna give us 1 more I vote for world champs.

I think he's got a couple in him. Like Tiger Woods. Never count the dude out.
  • + 1
@jomacba: Minaar is anything but 'comon'

Think you were looking for c'mon Wink
  • + 11
@onemanarmy: I don't even care if he wins another 1 or not. If he does, awesome! Just the fact that he is still in the top 10, almost top 5, riders in the world is a testament to his abilities.

And just think, for the majority of his career he was riding bikes too small for him.
  • + 3
Those new dropouts really seem to be working.
  • + 15
Literally all the male participants of this race are old enough to be someone's dad.
  • + 1
@miguelcurto: I believe they were taken off
  • + 1
@Konyp: My point was that Minaar could be the father of some of his fellow racers. A random 10yr old could father a child.

Who's the next eldest competitor? Gwin? Everyone else is in their 20's.
  • + 2
@m1dg3t: There are still a few other older gentlemen in the game, Gee, Sik Mik, it think Wyn is over 30 too?
  • + 3
@Konyp: ok then, old enough to be someone's grandpa
  • + 1
@onemanarmy: Sure!!! World Champs sounds good
  • + 2
@m1dg3t: You would be correct sir.
  • + 3
@hirvi: People seem to forget that there is only 4 years between the GOAT and Gee, even though they both still look younger than their years, good diet and training has probably helped them look young and stay so competitive.
  • + 2
@hirvi: @betsie: I honestly thought those guys were in their late 20s maybe just turned 30. Greg is still a marvel though as he is almost 40! No disrespect to those other guys, but Minaar has also managed to be at the top his whole career.

I'm glad Gee is doing the Atherton bikes thing, and WynTV is a can't miss
  • + 1
@m1dg3t: Personally, I dont think it's his age that is really impressive. It's the fact that he has remained not only a top contender, but a real threat to other riders for 19 years, and has adapted his riding to the evolution of riding. This is where I think most people fall off. Nobody else has done that.

Pinkbike - a request to do some kind of feature on Johannes Von Klebelsberg please. In the words of Mugatu - he's so hot right now
  • + 6
 @thg80: cheers buddy!
  • + 17
 No junior women ?
  • + 1
Weirdly the UCI doesn't seem to have put them up.
  • + 13
When is JVK going to get a factory ride??
  • + 8
Will we all be rooting for him as much when he does?
  • + 13
 Last year
  • + 34
 Team Levi-Wrangler 2020
  • + 2
He's had 2 in the past lol
  • + 3
@Franziskaner Does he wants a factory ride? He has a business to run!
  • + 2
 When Levi ‘s build a bike .
  • + 2
@flyingfox49: I'm sure there's some Levi's in the bike industry
  • + 3
@Rubberelli: Not if he then wore True Religion jeans.
  • + 12
Wow Trummer and JVK. Pretty good work!
  • + 11
 Where is Brosnan?
  • + 21
 ...on the podium saturday Wink
  • + 1
In 35 something must have gone wrong. Sure we will see Mr consistent on the podium on Saturday
  • + 1
Playing cat and mouse with the weather maybe??
  • + 7
As of this writing, the only comments on these results have been about the privateers.
  • + 8
 Jonny VKs havin a stormer
  • + 7
Go Daveboy Trummer! And also JvK!
  • + 7
 Charles is back!
  • + 3
Team rumors on Trummer and JVK must be high in the pits! Some factory riders would have to step up their game to keep their place for next season!
  • + 8
Jo does always best, when he's a privateer. He had already factory rides with Ghost and Mondraker, but wasn't that successful back then.
  • + 6
 What happened to Loïc??
  • + 3
I was wondering the same thing...high on the timesheets for split 1, but no sign of him after that.
  • + 11
@billyhoyle13: Maybe he doesn't realize that timed training is the most important timing sheet of the weekend?
  • + 2
Like Gwin, he can't take the unique pressure of TT.
  • + 5
 Junior women?
  • + 3
 Run 1 : 65,4 km/h
Run 2 : 65,8 km/h
Frixtalon is fast !
  • + 2
Get them on your fantasy team while you can still afford them!
  • + 2
 Ed masters?
On the start list but not on timed training?
  • + 0
Congratulations to Marine & Amaury. We all know these are the ONLY results that count. Beer
  • + 1
Tell me about JVK... why does he wear the jeans?
  • + 3
 The pockets and the feels.
  • + 1
So he can put his phone in his pocket in case he gets a call from work
  • + 1
His tutu is off being cleaned.
  • + 0
Brosnan? Bruni? who else? Are they really scoping this track that much?

Forrest Riesco as a wildcard in fantasy?
  • + 1
Just timed training. Some of the top guys don't link entire runs. So I wouldn't worry too much yet.
  • + 4
@onemanarmy: timed training is where it's at!
  • + 1
 Here comes the winners...
  • + 1
 Denim destroyer!!! Fuck yes!!
  • + 1
Rübesam 4th in the ladies, congratz!
  • + 2
 Go Danny Hart!
  • + 2
 Let's go Kate!
  • + 1
 Greenland?
  • + 1
 Go Marine!
  • - 3
Pierron winning with a very small margin. It was probably really exiting to watch. Wish redbull would broadcast timed practice instead of the race...
  • + 1
Riders drop in irregularly, and for several runs, not always going full out. It's hard to cover TT, wouldn't make much sense unfortunately.
  • + 3
 instead? dare i ask why?
  • - 1
Why oh why is Kate Weatherly still in the womens???
  • + 3
 babylon rising..
  • + 2
Rules, Legislation, Societal Conventions and Contemporary Perspectives all considered; that person is not a threat to either podium at the top end. They can and want to fit in - within their sport and own head-space - they are a good rider, with support of all sorts, no doubt. Get on and do it, make a noise, create a scene. Others will condemn or condone forever....
It is, however, important to remember facts.
  • + 5
@BMXrad: Because the UCI is not an inclusive governing body. They don't want to recognize trans athletes properly by giving them their own category, so they mix them in with the females - Let's be honest here; there are no trans male athletes competing at the highest levels of any sport (if there are please show me).

I don't agree with it. I think it is unfair to both the women athletes and the trans athletes. Make sport totally inclusive, or remove gender altogether and allow doping.
  • + 2
Who knows? People cite the IOC ruling as justification, but the IOC also allows for discretion amongst individual federations.

UCI is just too progressive for science.
  • + 0
@m1dg3t: the case that worries me most is Caster Semenya in athletics. Here we have a woman being told she MUST take drugs to race against other women.
  • + 1
@m1dg3t: This shit has to stop. Kate is a woman, she races with women, she passes every test required of her in order to be eligible to race. This is bicycle racing, it's the 21st century, and it's not the middle east. Be a better human being and accept that sometimes we have to accept a little bit of gray in order to make the black and white more beautiful.
  • + 3
@Dropthedebt: this is the kind of mess you create when you start f*cking with the fabric of reality. If any of you actually manage to retain common sense despite the tidal wave of peer pressure and cultural conditioning, check back in to this madness in 5-10 years.. it will be an absolute sideshow.
  • + 3
See above for an example of the peer pressure and cultural conditioning. If you reject this situation you are allegedly a ‘lesser human being’.
  • + 3
Dude... again? Just go to f*cking VDS, get naked on race day and block the f*cking course with your man bits clutched in one sweaty fist, a loudhailer in the other, and get 'em telt to their face!
  • + 3
@nzandyb: XX and you with the girls. XY and you play with the boys. Thank you that is all.
  • + 1
@Syt565: How about you FO and go play with yourself?
  • + 1
@nzandyb: He is a man and I know the other girls think it wrong which it is they just scared to speck out because of PC BS.
  • + 1
@BMXrad: you know the only think more bizarre than the situation itself? The fact that so many people find it acceptable.
