@sarahmoore @brianpark Anyone know what's up? I saw no countdown or anything for XC, normally there's a Fantasy League announcement, a Primer, maybe a handful of other posts, then the XCC Results, then a Fantasy last chance, then they lock after a certain time, not to mention the front page countdown. The Primer and XCC just got posted; I finish reading through that and go to edit my team through the link as suggested, and it already says event live/rosters locked. The event isn't for another day and a half! This is reminding me of the CWX Fantasy League.

@ictus: For any continuous athletic event longer than a duration of about 1 minute, the vast majority of power comes from the body's aerobic energy system. It doesn't matter if it's 10 minutes or 10 hours. An aerobic event is analogous with an endurance event, therefore yes the XCC short track is an endurance race, just much shorter than some others.

I didn't see that course, but it looked like she lost two or three spots up that hill in each of laps 3-4-5 more than any single mistake.

I don't know about Jolanda but Jenny got hung up in the barrier on that steep grass climb during lap 6. She climbed the top half of that hill on foot and looked like a Mt. Goat doing it. Great foot speed. That girl can flat out scramble. It made her win even more impressive.
