The Revelstoke Cycling Association (RCA) is looking for an experienced Project Manager who will take on the management of several trail building and remediation projects within the Frisby Ridge trail network. The work period is from July 15, 2016 to November 30, 2017 with the majority of work taking place March to November in both 2016 and 2017.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring project feasibility
Attend and record all project related meetings
Coordinate RCA, contractor and volunteer resources and third parties/vendors
Create and maintain accurate, comprehensive project documentation
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Report and refer to the RCA Board Representative as needed
Successfully manage the relationship with the RCA, the contractor(s) and all stakeholders
Perform, analyse and report on risk management as needed
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Provide bi-weekly progress and budget summary reports to the RCA Board Representative
Provide progress and budget summary reports to funding suppliers as required
Submit a final detailed summary report within 60 days of overall project completion to 95%
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS - YOU MUST CLEARLY SHOW HOW YOU MEET ALL OF THE FOLLOWING
Previous project management experience and general knowledge of best practices (work and formal education)
Experience managing logistically-heavy projects, finances and personnel
Experience administering various activities related to mountain bike trail building and/or maintenance
PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES - YOU WILL BE RANKED WITH THE FOLLOWING IN MIND
Flexibility with work schedule (especially March-November 2016 and 2017)
Verbal and written communication skills
Experience documenting projects and providing progress reports and summaries
Interpersonal and collaborative skills
Level of self-motivation, sound judgment and integrity
Familiarity with the RCA and the trails it manages
Vehicle capable of travelling on a variety of logging roads
Physically fit
