Grand Targhee has done a great job expanding their trail network the past couple years. I was there last weekend and had a blast, and their events are great. JHMR bike park will be growing soon. Locals know that some of the best trails aren't at the ski resorts, and exploring the whole region really kicks ass. Take an extended weekend or a week- check out Grand Teton and Yellowstone, bring your bear spray, support the local stores, and resist the temptation to take a selfie with a bison.

I love the Tetons and there's some good riding out there but that was one of the least stoke worthy videos I can imagine. Still waiting for someone to actually create a legit bike park at JHMR or GT. They've got the terrain, that's for sure.

Targhee did hire the right people to get it done, so it should just be a matter of time now. Unfortunately they are also the same people that are currently ruining the best DH parts of the tetons and turning them into dirt jumps.

New jumps got ya down bud? Don't worry the old line is still open fort the children and you!

Dirt jumps got most of the real dh locals down and no, the old dh line is totally unaccessible.. Seems like you've forgotten where your name came from

I agree completely, the pass used to be amazing. Now they have "bike parked" all of the trails, taking out the best high speed rock and roots sections and replacing them with lippy dirt jump style jumps. Might as well just ride the lifts at Targhee or Teton Village now since the trails are just as good what they've turned the trails on the pass into.

Hey there sorry for the delayed response. I've been out riding. Alexis fire, assuming you are taking about the parallel trail. You are wrong. The old line is still there and and rideble. Although virtually no one does. Two puny rock ledges a rut and a jankey old log ride that's the hardcore dh section you are whining about? OK whatever. Like I said it's still there. Have at it. I'll be boosting the new jumps. That trail is largely the same as it was 10 years ago only much better because of the continued work of the TFR. Or maybe you weren't riding back then and would not remember.
Here's an idea! Go ride Lithium! Or wait... Better yet, dont! Stay at home with your computer and complain about how bad the trails are! That's the cool new way right? As far as the "real dh locals" not liking the new stuff I'm not sure who you are talking about but I'd bet they are neither real or local.
Dead horse 13. You are totally right man ! You should stick to the bike park because the pass is too much like a bike park. Uhhh...ok ." Lippy dirt jump style jumps" how scary! Better play it safe and stay in Pokey where all the rad dh trails are.
Anyway I've wasted too much time already replying to you clowns. I'm going riding. For God sake try to have fun out there on the hollowed out shell of what used to be amazing trails! Ha ha ha ha hahaahahhhh bleah!

Do I have to high five everyone if I ride there?

Targhee is alright. Better riding on the Wyoming side of the pass, and in south east Idaho though. Good advertising for the upcoming Wydaho festival though.
