Lemme make it clear that I don't like the fact that e-bikes will be part of the future. I earn my turns in a state where shuttling and bike parks are common place (one degree removed from e-bikes). I'm just merely pointing out that it is happening and there is nothing that the "purists" can do about it. To my horror I just saw the specialized lineup and boom, there it was!
  • 5 0
Dual front brakes has been done 1996 Marzocchi Z1 with a special built Marzocchi hub with twin front 6 bolt mounts . Dual brakes are RETRO dude Smile
  • 5 1
200mm droppers ain't no joke dude Wink the 6ft 6 plus community is aching to get them on our bikes!
  • 2 0
Think there's someone on the old Down movie how had double front brakes, think you get to see them when they are riding down the water slides, but it has been a long time since i last saw that film
  • 1 0
my first gen marzocchi Z1 had disc tabs on both sides of the lowers, never found the hub
  • 77 12
As trails become more and more pussy, riders are rewarded for doing more and more basic things, jumps get smaller, obsticals become rarer, yes this is the future. No need for bb hight, as there's no roots or rocks to catch on anymore. Padded seats because there's no reason to stand up off the saddle anymore either. I predict suspension will disapear soon too. As will dirt, replaced with concrete paths that have been coated with hand sanitizer and a spray of febreeze for that final touch.
  • 8 0
Short after that we sill all be riding Bianchi. I'm scared now.
  • 15 0
can we please concrete heart of darkness?
  • 3 2
Having flown head first into it, I can assure you its as hard as concrete as it is
  • 9 1
u sir, u have named my fears
  • 18 1
Only fair trade, gluten free concrete for me please!
  • 3 2
I'm an optimist on this one. As the capability of bikes continues to improve, riders will seek out, ride and build more challenging trails. As long as we keep xc weenies from dumbing down trails the future is bright in Colorado.
  • 5 1
160mm HARDTAILS BOMBING DOWN ROCKY ROOTY DUSTY RUTTED OUT SHIT TRAILS FROM HELL!!! seriously tho, thats what we have in san diego, and as long as the dirts this shitty and the rain damages the trails as it does, its all we will ever have
  • 2 1
now that there's concrete that water flows right through I don't see the need for dirt trails or bikes with suspensions. trails will last forever and bikes will be less expensive it's really a no-brainer

he should have asked for a company to "sponsor" this hoax and put like "trek" or "specialized" or "giant" logos all over it and watched everyone on here (including me) grab their pitch forks ready to kill some people, then like a day or two later post a big "haha got you dumb bitches" and make us sigh the largest of sighs.

Coruchie but I am extremely efficient away from Pinkbike, like I volountarily got myself colostomy bag so I don't waste time in the toilet, I just throw it to the bin next to my office desk. It also keeps me away from temptation to watch porn on my smartphone in the toilet, which in my current age can take up to 25 minutes per session. See?

 Boost 2.0 standard rear spacing?
  • 4 0
Actually, jokes aside, the rear wheel axle's 188mm is very well for symmetrical hub's flanges placement and for the spokes' lengths.
This is what should be done far long ago.
Of course for this lenght the diameter should be bigger to have same rigidness(or more) I'd wanted it to be L:188mm x OD:24mm x ID: 12mm hollow.

...we are going toward MOTO, guys!
  • 8 0
So in the future bikes can't stand up on their own for photos either....dark times...

  • 6 0
Maybe dropper tech on a stem, so you can change the stem length at the push of a button to get the best length for climbs and declines?

Uhh, you might actually have something there.

looks like a Gambler, an Evil and a V10 were raped by a low rider. Love it! all new standards. Case and point that the bike industry is just making shit up so we buy it.

"get f*cked mtb industry!" - A Lacondeguy.
  • 2 0
it's unfortunate that most of PB thinks copulation and reproduction comes exclusively from rape. What, you think those bikes wouldn't consent?
  • 1 0
I say "rape" because a bastard offspring as hideous as what we see here can't possibly the result of a consensual relationship.

One of those bikes has clearly been sodomized, and the industry is trying to sell it to us and make us take the money shot like a hungry baby bird.
  • 1 0
 touche
  • 3 0
Strange, I always thought the spirit of Mountainbiking was just to give it a shot, how ridiculous it might look. Just remember the 90s... ECS? AMP fork? Disc wheels?

Trial and error, that's mountainbike engineering for me.
  • 5 0
 Imagine the wheelie on this
  • 3 1
What's the bet trek or specialized will see this, employ the guy and then they will release it for 2017.... Can't wait to see how their marketing "gurus" tell us how it's the "future"

11 tooth cassette? Obviously Shimano because SRAM created the MUCH SUPERIOR 10 tooth cassette. (additional freehub body purchase not included)

pfff. bike of the future will have slightly bigger chain, only so that it can run 8t small ring which will make all enduromaniacs wet like One Direction fan invited for backstage party.
  • 6 5
About time someone expressed what the public thinks of the over hyped marketing rubbish, Long live the true mtb 26 inched wheel and bikes that are actually rideable. Don't fall for the hype Live to ride.
  • 1 0
im waiting for boost plus to be released next year with 150x12mm and 20mmx110. itll be the latest and greatest for all enduro bikes on the ews and i heard it will be endorsed by jerome clementz and jared graves.
  • 7 5
I can't believe they went to all that work and didn't introduce a new wheels size. Shame!!!
  • 19 0
 It had 28" wheels!
  • 2 0
I guess you didn't get the memo yesterday about the new Remedy 28 that is coming out.
  • 7 0
They missed the mark; everyone knows 28.75" is superior and the next trend, and I have it on good authority that 26.875" is in the works...
  • 9 0
26.875'' is cool but the Europeans are running 682.625mm which I hear is much faster.
  • 2 0
them size wheels will work well with the 188mm super boost hubs
  • 3 0
Lotta rocket appliances were used to make this one boys

  • 1 1
joke's on you, I'm releasing a bike with even longer reach for a shorter stem, and shorter chainstays, and more suspension links for a...more ideally optimized pedaling platform
  • 7 0
@oogens Are you still thinking of the handlebar in front of the steerer? That is so last week.
  • 7 0
Actually, the stem should be mounted backwards. Gives a negative stem length. Even better.
  • 2 1
I think this was generated just to see how many times waki would respond...and we set a new record. I love ya waki, dont stop.
  • 1 2
f*ck no I love 29ers for rolling speed but with huge hits its gotta be 8inch travel or at least 7 I like the idea of 28inch wheels however the geo is supposed too be way more badass than this and IDC who you are the ride height is badass on the older kona Stinky's like 2002-2007 and If they can't make the travel with 29 wheels and have it strong and not enormous than keep it 27.5 and make the shit sick...... Only my opinion cause I love both 26 and 29 now let's make a unicorn with both features and go big cheers everybody...... I know what I'm talking about because I thought my 6-7 grade teacher how too use AutoCAD and rhino 3d in high school I 3/4 way know how it should be
