Jesse Melamed running in the parking garage with that boot cast on gave me a good chuckle. Heal up dude!

Any promotion for a new Slayer should always play Reign In Blood as the background music.
  • 12 0
 Agreed.
  • 3 4
@brianpark: You could say it would have a Giant impact on the industry...
  • 4 0
idk i think Altar of Sacrifice is more fitting
  • 5 7
Never happen. All MTB's must now have gender neutral baby blue on them, no metal music allowed.
  • 1 0
 That’s a fact!

Unreal filmmaking @scottsecco, and surprisingly good acting from a bunch of mountain bikers! Must have taken a lot of takes Wink

This has me fired up, the riding shots that were in there were so precise ????

This edit is a joke. Unreal film making? I see your post is too.

You & Rocky belong together Smile

@m1dg3t: When's the last time you saw a creative concept for a bike ad that wasn't just plain bike porn, executed as well as this? Rocky's bike releases always come with super sick shred videos, and I bet you'll see one of those before too long. But till then, this is fun to watch and different from 99% of bike shit in a way that I think is cool.

 @PeterWojnar: It's lame. Straight up.

It is recycled garbage. Contains no originality. Good enough for the plebs I guess? LoL

I don't care about marketing. I despise marketing. Especially the low grade variety.
  • 1 0
I had to double take your comment ! Worthy of an Oscar nominononee lol

@m1dg3t: while I agree with that statement, it's misplaced here, IMO. This promo is entertaining and funny; it's half gag, half press release. The mtb industry is small enough that we like this kinda stuff and none of us are confused about what it is. It's not like they spent a ton of money hiring actors to make something dripping with marketing garbage. They did the opposite- they put their riders in a mock-horror film promo instead of some tech-garbled, bike industry marketing bs press release that we see every day with a handful of pros riding unreal stuff in perfect conditions on bikes you can't even buy. If you hate marketing, I would think you'd like this. Seems like a fun way to say, "hey we are releasing a new slayer soon" without inundating us with marketing garbage (eg "5.75% stiffer, 20% more compliant, uses six new standards that you neeeeed, buy this because your old bike is garbage now, etc etc")

@PeterWojnar: YT last year. But I prefer this one. Whenn will be the buke shown? I don’t see any Friday 13 soon...

@trialsracer: No. It's lame. You can try to rationalize it all you want, and just because I get down voted and you get up voted doesn't change the fact that this is lame, unoriginal, recycled garbage. I aint no sycophant.

You can be content with complacency & apathy. Hell, you even pay more for it. Not me.

@PeterWojnar: YT Industries did a next level version off this for the release of the new Capra
  • 28 1
@m1dg3t: yeah, well, that's just like, your opinion...man.

@m1dg3t: why so butt-hurt? In the same way Rodriguez and Tarrantino's Grindhouse project was homage, this is too.
Lighten up, guv.

 @m1dg3t:

oh no, the angry midget's back!
  • 2 5
First YT, now Rocky. Why....I just don't get it. Not exactly selling good vibes.
  • 1 0
@PeterWojnar: The Vinnie Jones YT ad for one?
  • 4 2
@m1dg3t: lame is a subjective term and you obviously seem to have a different take on lame than the majority of pinkbikers. Sorry a simple edit made for fun got your panties in a bunch.
  • 2 0
@CRAFTY-P: Did you seriously just compare this half assed drivel to Tarantino? LoL Now I know you're smoking some bad juju.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=5-HqLHmnBuI How true these words are.

@WasatchEnduro: Watch out! I'll bite your ankles off! nomnomnomnomnom

@lifeofloon: Oh, I'm sorry for not following the herd. I'll get back in line ASAP. Can I have seconds of my soylent green rations?
  • 2 0
@lifeofloon: -40 ain’t the majority of pinkbikers , your comment is lame lol
  • 2 0
 @Matt115lamb: Shhhh. Don't tell anyone!

It's funny that they say I'm butthurt and my panties are in a bunch for making a simple comment that get's all the lemmings out with their pitchforks. LoLoLoL

We separate the men from the boys.

Wow. Didn't realize bikes.com was own by Rocky Mountain. Seems like a pretty hard domain to snag.
  • 21 0
They were quick to get on the information highway. I'm pretty sure they were the first to get it or didn't buy it for much back in the day.
  • 11 0
@Powderface: You mean the information SUPERhighway. Much faster than just the highway.

Looks like bikes.com was first registered in 1994.
  • 25 3
Why violence, always violence. Can't we have the Rocky Mountain Picture Show?

Sooooo good @scottsecco! Way to build the hype!
  • 3 0
 Scott Psycho, not hypo
  • 26 11
 29er slayer would be rad...
  • 7 4
saw prototype 29er slayer like 3 years ago at crankworx.... i've been keeping my fingers crossed ever since!
  • 3 2
Thinking it will be 29 since the enduro team races Instinct BC editions right? Maybe too much overlap in the lineup though, who knows.
  • 1 0
 @cole-inman: its a freeride/ park bike 180 for 27.5 and 170 for 29
  • 2 0
29er with 170mm travel front and back, new frame with horitzontal shock.
Have seen it last saturday in Sölden
  • 10 0
I'm sorry Jesse but watching you run with the boot is too funny! It's a great video and everyone did such a good job on it, I hope you had as much fun making it as I did watching it!!
  • 12 0
 Hey Rocky, where's my Pipedream??
  • 14 4
New slayer with a motor as standard - now that would be some scary 'poo'
  • 10 0
 Chainsaw for a motor perhaps!?!
  • 11 4
It’s got be a 2 stroke - these electric bikes are for hippies green-o.
  • 3 0
@prodicker: do you know how much fun an ebike-style bike (built just like the ebikes are - as rad mtbs with a motor) with a little two stroke in it would be? Basically an $8k high end moped. You would piss EVERYONE off but c'mon, this is the stuff dreams are made of.
  • 9 0
Just give ALN a fly swatter and the Slayer is toast
  • 6 0
So basically if you ride this bike you will get murdered by an ax swinging murderer? Sign me up!
  • 3 0
Or it will turn you into an ax swinging murderer.
  • 5 1
Can we please go back to 2017 and get a Shimano Saint build on there with all those Fox Factory drippings? I cant afford to actually buy one, But a guy can dream, and in my dreams theres no SRAM products in sight.
  • 8 2
Can't wait to see it... Good teaser..
  • 1 0
Great, blood and murder, good stuff? I hope they have options that are more reasonable then the last one, carbon only, 5200$ to start and you get a Yari, hmmmmm, a reason why when I sold my last Slayer I got a Slash. (also more murder names!)
  • 5 1
Heavy stylized production. I like this.
  • 4 0
Rocky mountain slayer Slayer edition Yes please!
  • 3 0
Cmon, at least a quick glimpse of the bike... BUT, still100 times better than throwing watermelon at your frame...
  • 4 1
It would be epic if Jason turned out to be Brett Tippie.
  • 2 1
 Genius
  • 4 1
So we should start hiding and stop running.. #rickandmorty
  • 4 0
 Detective Simmons!
  • 2 0
I remember a print ad for the old slayers where they used the axe murder angle. Still works.
  • 3 0
Kudos, Rocky Mountain. That was dope.
  • 4 1
 Now I want a Rocky....
  • 2 0
Rocky be bringin’ the ruckus with this cut
  • 2 0
Love the creativity! Can't wait to see the new Slayer in person!
  • 7 4
 Where's the bike tho
  • 3 2
But they had a shot of someone riding something in the dark. That's cool, right? Right?
  • 3 1
Gonna be a Rocky Mountain SB 150
  • 1 0
Is the Enduro team going to be racing on Slayers now? It's usually been the Altitude or Instinct.
  • 3 1
Bring on the wagon wheels and more travel.
  • 2 0
What about a maiden? That hasn't had a update in a long time
  • 2 0
I believe Maiden is no more.
  • 1 0
Where’s the bike? What does the new one look like? Is there a 29er option????
  • 1 0
 It's called a tease for a reason...
  • 1 0
Yes. Speculation on forums is that its looks will be polarizing with a reinforced headtube area. But what do I know. I’m just a guy who owned a 2004 Slayer.
  • 2 0
The bike suits the name, the hype is justified- show us the bike!!
  • 4 2
 i like it.
  • 10 9
Looks like a page out of a YT marketing campaign
  • 3 1
 Hahaha love it.
  • 2 1
Oooo I’ll need popcorn when that feature length comes out!
  • 2 0
 I needed that....
  • 3 1
 nice work matthews!
  • 1 0
I'm guessing it comes with a headlight?
  • 2 0
 I'll pass.
  • 2 1
 Excellent promo
  • 1 1
Nothing says Slayer like... baby blue colours on the bike? Uggggh.
  • 3 0
That wasn't a Slayer in the beginning...that was an Altitude you saw in that blue... they didn't show the Slayer.... yet.....
  • 1 1
@IceCoastRep: The bikes at the beginning had coil shocks and I know they are going back to horizontal shock design for this new Slayer 27.5 and 29. Could be them but maybe just Altitudes.
  • 4 5
Or....just show us the fucking bike!
  • 6 1
So wait... Does this mean we have to wait until Halloween to see it?
  • 1 0
 Or... have patience.
