So I came up with an idea that I wanted to head into the woods with a 2 hour time limit and try to create a sick loam track and make an edit! I asked Matt and Jono Jones if they liked the idea and before we knew it we were building and riding against the clock to create a fun video!
I’d like to think that this video shows you that building and riding awesome bike tracks is super easy and fun, so get out there and Enjoy!
Absolutely! But please do it right and work with landowners. Ask any rock climber how easily land access issues can ruin the chance to ride or climb what would otherwise be an amazing spot... That said I'm taking a shovel out this weekend to somewhere I know I can play in the dirt!
Sam, once again....a pleasure to watch....
There were a few shots that were really really good, there were a lot....but the best were your low angle shots just around the time of the slomo dirt shovel shot....Very creative.
Keep them coming...
@sampilgrim: Thats a hell of a camera bro....and FCPX is awesome, I've been using it for years and love it...Keep on editing and the editing will come to you...Less transitions, go for natural ones...So think about that when you are shooting. My key thought is....."Shoot to edit" Keep em coming bro, I love watching you muck about....Braaap
sams a legend and its great for their creativity, sponsers and some fans but is anyone else not a fan of the daily videos every athlete releases these days? I think with a video a day quota the quality is no doubt low for the majority of edits, just like ratboys little bit of backlash for his 50:1 vids. Its hard to get excited for an athletes video compared to a few years ago when every time a video with their name on it was more than likely a banger and you would only see a few edits a year
I see your point of view but i just love to make these videos and i get stoked when people enjoy watching what i create, so i will carry on pressing record!!!
@Mayzei: You get around 1$ per 1000 views. That is not that much if you're not one of the youtubers with 1+ million subscribers and hundredthousands of views per video
@sampilgrim: keep on with em, i live through these videos when its to shitty to ride in indiana. I also needed some motivation to get out and dig, I've been talking about it for the last two seasons and this has got me sparked to actually do it. good way to sell it to my buddies who would rather not dig.
@sampilgrim: I agree with that, your reply got me thinking its better to have more content to create and work towards than just doing obligatory sponser commitments, the fact you replied and changed my mind proves you give a shit about the feedback and i respect that
These videos are just concentrated happiness! They make me wanna call up some buddies and go mess around on bikes right away! nothing but high spirits and good laughs, keep them coming Sam!!!!
anyone else super stoked about the dmr sled!!!!!!?????? I've been rocking a trail star for a while and I may just have to grab the new sled frame when I figure out how to not get caught by my wife........
Just say that Santa came late. When she argues respond with...ohhh I guess you know Santa's schedule now too.....? Then duck under the thrown plate and go ride your new bike.
I would definetly love to try and do more of this, but it´s really hard to get most of my mates to build anything at all, maybe your video will inspire them...? Cool edit
My key thought is....."Shoot to edit"
Keep em coming bro, I love watching you muck about....Braaap
