It seems that Santa slimmed down a bit this year, but his bike got fat. Either way, he's shredding to town this holiday season.

 Tricks are for kids, just buy a pair of Enve wheels and they'll get you more pussies than a golden Rolex watch... Big Grin

 Santa Claus = always will be cool.
Fat bikes = never will be cool.

At least this video is 50% cool.

 @HamsterPants E bikes actually have a purpose though. Fat bikes, 99% of the time, don't.

 @StraightLineJoe: What about E fat bikes? Lol;

 He is going to pedal like f*ck to get that round in one night from what I hear having never ridden one myself they are on the slow side . But put nothing past santa he may sprinkle something on his nose like in the film Santa Clause the movie for for you older folk. Lol

 Well its actually a Specialized Hellga. Witch is there woman's fatbike. But hey why do they bother making female mountain bikes anyway. Most female mountain bikers I know ride male or ALL gender bikes.

 Love the 80's BMX tricks, took me back to my teens. Great stuff!!
  • 4 0
 Yeah, I was like, "What? WHAT? NO WAY!" Ugh, been 30 years since I first pulled those tricks. Even got the stick b**** (??? The trick at the very end) down in 88'. I did a G-turn 15 years ago on my mtb, for a bet. A Beer. I still think I could pull some of that stuff on my 26er AM hardtail, my rigid 29er would be the better bet, but my 46 year old brain tells me beer is waiting for me if I don't get hurt... Guess I'll stick to manuals and wheelies. You know, the easy way out Wink

 @oldschool43: Yeah mate great memories for sure, I remember seeing the 'frame whip' in 84' when Mike Dominguez came over with Eddie Fiola to take part in a UK BMX tv show completion. Think it was called BMX Beat, Dominguez almost pulled it off but dabbed his foot as he caught the bike as it came round. The man doing the voice over called it Amazing or words to that effect, glad I was around for the dawn of Freestyle. Amazing how it's progressed over the years, as with all 2 wheeled sports. Glad too to still be taking some small part in it;

 @b4uwereborn: Yeah, being from the states, I had the chance of seeing all those guys quite a bit and became friends with some them. Even had the chance to ride with them when they were in town. Dino Deluca, Dizz Hicks, Ceppie Maes, Bryan Blyther, Dennis McCoy, Kevin Martin, Ron Wilkerson, Dave Mirra and Gary "Pinky" Polleck a few times. I got to see the only freestyle contest Kevin Jones (Plywood Hoods) entered. I was on a first name basis with Rick Moliterno for a while, back when he started Standard Byke. My best friend from high school, Mark Losey, became the editor of BMX Plus! then Ride BMX (US). I was up there with them, was doing 7 foot airs and creeping up every day. Then one night, riding street, I was way better riding street, flatland and dirt jumping, broke both naviculars in both wrists. Just kept breaking them. One 4 times, the other 3. Took about 2 years off, from early 90 to late 91. Bought a mountain bike, that's been about it. I had a Standard STA for a while and started getting it back but, I had a job. We don't have national healthcare, ya know.. Can't afford to get hurt. But I can still wheelie and manual.. Smile

 @oldschool43: Awesome stuff mate, I got a mate who moved out to California years ago. He became friends with a lot of the Moto-x riders from the late 70's early 80's, he kindly sent me a pic of him with Brad Lackey. He goes to a lot of the old school bmx fares and shows, another photo he sent me was of him and the MAN HIMSELF...BOB HARO!! A few of the names you mentioned I don't recognise, but Blyther and Wilkerson Dizz, I do. A few of them came to the UK in 85 to take part in the Kelloggs BMX Championships, it was only 10 mins from my home. Senleys park was the venue. All the top pro racers came, and freestylers too. Eddie Fiola was with Dave Breed at the time doing a UK tour, they both competed. It's on you tube, type in Kelloggs Bmx Freestyle championships and you should get quite a few clips. Me and my mates are behind the judges, to their right, we keep slapping each other on the heads. Cheers mate nice one, 'no school like the old school';

 @b4uwereborn: That's awesome! When we didn't want anyone knowing our names, we would say we were Bob Haro. Wink My friend Mark became friends with Mat Hoffman. He sent me a framed black and white picture he took of the very first flare Mat pulled in a competition. Was before the internet, so I was like,"What kind of an air is that?" He was upside down facing away from the ramp. Crazy stuff. The good old days. Dave Breed sounds familiar. Stuart King, from the UK, and my little brother would hang out sometimes. I think he lived in the Midwest(central USA) for a bit. A good guy. Yeah, the 43 in my profile is from the 80's freestyle scene. It was like a religious thing here with riders. Ken Block even followed it, but he was a skater. Remember when we all got along. Ha.. I even have a 43 tattoo. Rider for life.

 @oldschool43: Yeah the big air riding certainly has come a long way, mind you we never had foam pits to practice into lol. Jamie Bestwick blew me away more recently, once he got into his stride the natural successor to Dave Mirra. Used to buy BMXAction and Freestyle magazine religiously, used to love the 'how to' trick photo sequences too easy to follow freestyle moves. Great days glad I was there at the start!
