Schwalbe British 4X Round One, Course Preview - Video

March the 13th will see the opening round of the British 4X Series kick off at Chicksands Bike Park in central Bedfordshire. After recent success with their winter 4x series, the return of the British 4X to the legendary venue will sure be a race not to be missed! The course at Chicksands is suitable for all variety of abilities and bicycles. As there is a vast selection of license and open categories, there is no excuse to miss the race.

Categories

Fun - 13 to 16 Riders must be in the year of their 13th or 16th birthdays.
Big Fun - Riders must be in their 17th year or older.
Rippers - Riders must be in the year of their 10th, 11th or 12th birthdays.
Juvenile - Riders must be in the year of their 13th or 14th birthday.
Youth - Riders in the year of their 15th or 16th birthdays.
Junior - Riders in the year of their 17th or 18th birthdays.
Senior - Riders in the year of their 19th birthday then the Senior category is the appropriate aged based category.
Master - For riders aged 30 to 39.
Veteran - For riders aged 40+

The fun and big fun categories do not require a British Cycling license. Chicksands Bike Park is located just outside the small town of Shefford, on the crossroads of Northwood End Rd and Standlone Warren. Chicksands Bike Park, Northwood End Rd, Shefford, Bedfordshire, SG17 5QQ

 I loved it till the track elevated slightly at the end yes ive ridden it before they rebuilt it still fucking awesome with some mates

 I wish chicksands would do some dual slalom races or mini dh races!!!they would get packed out if they did that!but they only seem to do 4x races for some reason

 Think it's a lot to do with organisation as well. 4X would be a bit easier to run than Dual or DH as it doesn't require hiring timing systems out for it

 There was a dual race couple of years back, great fun. I would love to see more Similar format to 4X so not too hard to run

 They had a mini dh ages ages ago with the help of nakedracing or whoever it is who does the mini dh 661 races at fod.why not collaborate again for dual or dh.what the south east needs are more races like these so you don't have to keep travelling all the time!it would be huge if chicksands dome.something similar
