@DubC: Oh please, we had less than 12 years left if you ask Gretta...who needs a bike when we have a liberal news media conspiring doom and gloom all day, every day. I have not seen delusional sheeple being so subservient to a stonry of conjecture since I watched the arrival scene in the Will Smith movie "Independance Day".

@huckschwinn: now what is funny is the fact that I'm just walking into a clinic and the person here for an 8 a.m. job interview has a Biden bumper sticker. I've already made up my mind this person will not have the job. Will be very fitting for most other Biden voters.

@huckschwinn: Super short interview...tobacco user too....

 @RoadStain: wow that's... illegal.
  • 5 1
@RoadStain: Can you tell us what company you work for? It would be helpful so we can all stay away and work with businesses ran by people that have integrity.
  • 3 5
@dbarnes6891: Not at all. We can use any criteria at all to hire or not hire a person. If we do not like the color of their socks.

The fact is that for some entry-level positions the decisions come down to what shirt is worn, if a shoe is untied or whatever other things we feel sets one candidate out from another. As a business owner, and as a consultant to other businesses', the criteria vary wildly.

All an applicant for an open position ever knows is "another person was chosen" not, "well, we did not like your hair or that you reek like an ashtray". For instance, you really think that a T&A plastic surgeon wants a typical Walmart cashier at the front desk? Um no. Could they "do the job"? Probably. That position tends to be filled by a college student age person who was on the cheerleading team.
  • 2 3
@dbarnes6891: can you not find out who he is and report him in the states? f*ck people like that.
  • 2 2
@huckschwinn: it wouldn’t be a rambling roadstain post if he didn’t call someone a sheep or mention greta.
  • 1 0
Hahaha, that’s funny, good sense of humor!
  • 5 5
@huckschwinn: Roadstain is just schooling you fools as to how the world works. Always has, always will. Made the same decision I would have. Honestly, how could any business person hire anyone with a Bernie/Biden/Hillary/Obama sticker on their car? The ideology itself and the lack of judgement display eliminates you from the qualification process of getting the job. You will have to be satisfied with retail/fast food/government/NGO work.
  • 3 0
@drmantistobogganmd: report for what? What is this 1980's USSR? Limey loser.
  • 3 0
Personally, I think that you should not have any sort of bumper sticker on your car, due to the fact that someone might judge you on that limited information. In the U.S., people take politics seriously, and I would like to be judged by who I am as a person, not by who I support. Bumper stickers, and clothing tend to be the first thing you see of someone sometimes, and so I try to steer clear of those when they have political references on them
  • 2 2
@JacobyDH: That is a strong use of the most important organ you have. More people need to do that.
  • 1 0
@chasejj: what do you mean by that?
  • 4 0
@chasejj: personally, I think that politics in the U.S. currently just splits the two party’s more, and more. We don’t get much done when we split up, and no matter what political party you belong to, we could all make this country so much better if we all joined each other, and came together to get what we want done. Right now the two main political party’s are clashing head on. If we worked together things would be so much better! I hope that that made some sense. If not, I’m sorry, I’ve had a rapid loss of brain cells recently.
  • 2 2
@chasejj: for being a judgemental prick almost like yourself.
  • 1 0
@drmantistobogganmd: I am judgemental, that's for certain. You have to be to survive in this world.
  • 1 2
@chasejj: what a warped sense of reality you have. The world is a c*nt so you use it as an excuse to be a c*nt?
  • 1 0
Can someone explain what he meant, I don’t understand what he said
  • 2 2
@drmantistobogganmd: Man unfortunately I don't know who he is.The sad part is he can get away with it. In my opinion it's not at all ethical, but he isn't wrong. Bottom line is it's your word against his. It is 100% illegal to discriminate against someone on the grounds of political affiliation in this instance in the United States, but the problem is proving it happened. It boils down to guys like this simply being able to say "Oh that wasn't the reason." It's very difficult to prove. Although... He did just post it in an open forum.
  • 3 4
@drmantistobogganmd: Sir, are you really that delusional? I do not care what country you are in, this is the reality.

If you are in a position to hire staff, the "law" and your criteria are not the same, period.

Have you ever received a tour of a gym from a morbidly obese person? While I can not speak for the healthcare facilities in your country...I can say that you will just not see a fat chick working the desk at a plastic surgeons office. I know a white (female) MD who has all-white staff, always has, probably always will. I know a black (female) DO who has never had a white staff member. I know a black (male) MD who has all-white staff....one of the best is a Neurosurgeon who always has three (cute) blonde girls working around him...he gets older, they do not.

Under your premise (and that of some laws), with my abilities, I should be able to go to the Bernie Sanders campaign, apply and get a job while wearing a Trump shirt right?

Odd thing out, the number of pulmonology and cardiology staff members (including MD) who smoke....but. what they do is not my problem (I suppose as long as they do not drive a white Porsche too fast, right).
  • 2 4
@RoadStain: God bless the rest of Americans. You are part of the reason why I wont even visit your shitty ass country.
  • 4 3
@drmantistobogganmd: But, we brush our teeth! That said, without us - well, you would be speaking German (since 1912). Oddly, most Americans (myself included) could give a crap about Europe (well, but for my German Cars as Germany is a model for all of Europe).

Only differnce? I have been all over Europe. Africa and other continents are FAR more interesting and valuable to the world scene.
  • 3 2
@RoadStain: Deutschland Deutschland über alles! I already speak German, you Jahbroni. Never said I was proud to be British. I hate my country the most. I would rather be living in Germany or anywhere else. But that doesn't stop your country from being gash.
  • 3 2
@RoadStain: We are both country's filled and ran by white privileged patriarchal exploitative f*cks.

@drmantistobogganmd: There was once a famous judge who said: "the world needs ditch diggers". Some people are born in better circumstances than others. Simply, not my (or your fault) and moreover, not my problem.

The United States is not perfect. That said, and having had traveled a very large portion of the planet...well, assuming some idiot socialist does not get elected by the undereducated populous...I would much rather be here. Besides, soon enough there will be a wall blocking me from walking to Mexico and Canada will simply ship me back (ask Randy Quaid).

Anyone else see "rescheduled/cancelled" and breathe a sigh of introverted relief? Even though it's on stuff I really want to see, still get such an endorphin release from cancelled plans.

All of these events being rescheduled for the Fall are banking on a BIG assumption that the virus will be under control by then.
  • 1 0
 Good point.
  • 4 0
Yeah it's cute that they think it will go away in a few months. It started in December/November in china and 4months later it's sure it won't be over soon there. Why do they think That in USA it will last only few months ? WHO is already predicting at least a year long pandemic
  • 2 1
Yep and I've heard this morning that USA is only testing 5 from every 1 million people, compared to asia which is testing over 30000 per million people, I fear it's going to get much worse before it improves unfortunately
  • 1 0
@sewer-rat: The bell curve of new cases is now on the declining side for China, so they're supposedly through the worst of it as far as rate of spread. But the US is just getting started, correct. Time will tell when we top out on new cases, testing being a prime factor.
  • 1 0
@ryansimonovich. It’s rescheduled to the beginning of the next flu season........
  • 2 1
 @sewer-rat:
The federal government is stopping an independent research lab here in Washington state from testing people. The feds drug their feet for over a month to approve a test that a research team came up with, so that team started testing people anyway. Now they are not allowed to anymore.

It is the best way to have fewer cases.. don't test people.

USO will attract the dh racers, and anyone doing the EWS N America stop, the Ashland enduro will take even more racers away, so maybe SeaOtter will be a xc focused event.
