Exclusive Two-video series chronicles anti-gravity wunderkind’s Crankworx odyssey.

Trek Bicycle, through its C3 Project, is releasing two exclusive behind- the-scenes videos, produced by the Coastal Crew, following the fun and folly of factory-sponsored rider, Brandon Semunuk. While those who pay attention to such things know that Brandon’s 2010 Crankworx experience was not free from flaw, it made for high drama and some great videos. 2 Videos inside,

After electrifying the crowd with a near flawless run, Semenuk pulled up short on a back flip on the last stunt, a trick that he had landed earlier in the day during his practice runs. While the initial crash looked benign enough, the result was a broken right clavicle that subsequently ended Brandon's Crankworx experience.

When asked about the run, Trek Global Mountain Bike Brand Manager, Michael Browne stated, “Brandon can do backflips in his sleep, so watching that was just horrifying. We all know the sport involves risk, but that never makes it easy to see. We’re just happy to see him walk away from it. And to think he’s considering defending his title as RedBull Rampage Champion? That’s superhuman.”

Despite the injury, Semunuk remains optimistic about the remainder of the season saying that, "I'm really looking forward to getting back on the podium at Rampage."

These Rider profile videos are really cool. I hope more companies and riders do alot more.

I agree, its really cool to see a sorta behind the scenes look at riders and comps. It would be neat if somebody put out a movie like seasons but with even more of a documentary feel, maybe follow one or two riders through out the year.

There's loads of stuff like that for Downhill, all of Clay Porters stuff is like that but I have no idea why people don't do it for SS and Freeride. It's got a much bigger crowd over your side of the pond.

if it hasnt been released, how would you know? have taken cams or brandons out ona slope course? and yes the anticipation has been killing us, we all know everyone on pinkbike secretly wants one:P
  • 9 0
i don't think its a secret that everyone wants one haha.
  • 2 0
ever think that everyone wants one not because of the actual preformance of the bike but of the ability of semenuk, and mcaul who ride them. im not saying that everyone wants it for that reson, but i am saying that most people do. i for one am one of those people who want it because semenuk uses it, cause i would never be able to fully ride the boneyard. that is just my oppinion but...
  • 1 0
that is a good point. i think another reason everyone wants one is because of the clean looking nature of the bike
  • 1 0
 ^^ true

  • 1 0
 IS A BEAST!!! LOVE IT!
  • 1 0
he's not up for academy award, he's a slopestyle rider. miles from colorado springs to whistler - 1,609 miles. $ to drive the rockshox truck at 10 miles per gallon and $3/gallon ~ $500.
  • 1 0
The rockshox truck is a duramax, even with the big hoops it would still get around 20mpg unloaded if the driver kept his foot out of it.
  • 1 0
Guaranteed that Diesel is getting at least 20mpg. Much cheaper than flying.
  • 6 2
 Cool.
  • 2 0

I really hope hes not back for rampage,I mean its about time someone else won something!
  • 1 0
 get well soon brandon...
  • 2 0
As tiring as it gets seeing him win everything, that really sucks. I hope he's back 110% for Rampage.
  • 1 0
c-bernier- on you comment i like wanted to give you one neg prop and one plus prop because that comment is like too well thought out hahaha. I hope he gets to ride rampage though.
  • 1 0
how the f' did he mess the flip up in the comp, in practice he was doing it no problem, cant wait to see what he's got for rampage
  • 3 2
This guy can ride like hell, but there is more charisma in an inner tube.
  • 1 0
To walk away from that with only a broken collarbone is pretty impressive. Under rotating a flip on a 40ft jump must be pretty scary for your neck...
  • 1 4
 yeah shut up you dick
  • 1 0
DirtyDee- I totally agree with you. Brandon rides like a BEAST, but seems like he's NEVER stoked. I really like the behind the scenes vids lately!! Keep em up!!
  • 1 0
What? EDIT: whoah comments on this are f*cked up. I commented someone else!
