As the former president of Plymouth University mountain bike club a long time ago, I think that short of Norwich which is flat and must have zero riding, uni clubs were all created equal beacause where ever you go, the drinking conditions are generally perfect!!

I went to Plymouth Uni (also a long time ago). Really wish I'd joined the mountain biking club now. The urban races were always cracking entertainment to watch too.

Norwich/Norfolk does have "some" decent riding spots dotted around the place, though mostly only good for XC or Enduro riding.
Still worth going there for the cheap beer though!

Do you know why the campus DH race was not on last year? Heading back for my 3rd year and probably going to sign up.

not sure about last year but this year we tried to organize it and the uni weren't that keen, I think it's because a few people got badly injured last time it was run

4th pic down kicks my OCD off, Kashima stancions against stone wall... Also must be some pretty well off students these days looking at the bikes and kit. I remember cobbling together 5 year old bikes from scraps lying around to get going downhilll.

As a former Hallam student it annoys me that I prefer the Sheffield Uni cycling strip

This article confuses me. Are you trying to increase your member intake or gain some sponsorship? If your trying to attract more members surely there's a university freshers page that this is more suited to because if there is a fresher cruising pinkbike they've most likely already made the decision to join your club.

You should have been riding with us 18 years ago, it were all hardtails and flexstems as far as the eye could see, from psalter lane campus to the bottom of Bannerdale road.
