Best ever moment in 2009 - My first race! The feeling was awesome: before the race, when you get slightly nervous when the adrenalin is rising and I know that I have to give it my best. Such a great feeling, I love it. And during the race, if all the people cheer on you, it was simply the highlight of the season.
Worst ever moment in 2009 - It was definitely at the beginning of the season. Last year, I came into a team where I'd been thinking that it would be all great times. But, unfortunately, it was not the case. My team bike did not come until 7 weeks after the start of the season, so as a result, I could not train, the team spirit was not as I had been hoping for. Finally, I got out of the team and was very disappointed that someone can be deceived so easily.
Favourite place to ride - That's Schladming. It's an awesome track, and perfect to train your skills.
Best thing you ever found on the street - Haha, omg, what a question! Hmmmm… I think, it will be my own money bag. You have to know, I’m one of the most chaotic and scatterbrained people ever I think! So, I have the “talent” to lose everything. One day I lost my money bag with definitely TOO much money in it, and all the other important things. But I had luck on my side because I found it again so it was my own money bag that was the best thing I've ever found on the street. How boooring, I know!
Who do you most enjoy riding with – These are my friends who have taught me a lot and do it still today. All of whom are just as crazy as me and therefore it is the greatest fun in biking, and this is after all, the most important thing!
Best ingredients in a Sandwich - Beef, Bacon, Cheese, Tomato, and Mexican Southwest Sauce. Perfect!
All time favourite Movie – Crank. It’s so crazy and so fun AND I love Bruce Willis, he’s great!
Your dream sponsor would be - Intense! Their bikes are AWESOME!
Who did you last email– Greg Parish at Straitline.
Riders that inspire you- Darcy Turenne, Rachel Atherton and Fabien Barel!
Jacket Potato or Mashed Potato – Damn, I must confess, I had to check first what the difference is between those two potatoes! And now, I have to say, I choose the Jacket Potato but only in connection with a good steak...and beer!
Night out with the girls or a day out on the trails – Spending time with my girls. Because I ride my bike so often, I enjoy having fun with my girls for once, because if you are mostly with guys on the track you will be happy to have the perfect girl's gossip night.
Best result in 2009 – Uh, good question. Unfortunately I only started at one race and that's not my best success, so I think it is the fact that I've come through the season without any injuries.
Hopes for 2010– I hope to improve my skills, get going faster and that I achieve some good results racing in Europe. Some new sponsors would be great!
People you want to say thanks to – First I’d like to thank my guys who ride with me every week, they teach me so much, and I’m really grateful for them. Then of course my team leader Michael Nowotny, he’s a person who can motivate me all the time and he teaches me a lot of important things, he’s awesome. Last but not least my mom, she is so thoughtful and she believes in me and that gives me a lot of power, I love her!
Anita just chilling
Hey GoxBoxSocks lock stock is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE movies, and guy ritchie is an awesome director if you liked lock stock, you should check out: snatch, and rocknrolla both outstanding Guy Ritchie films
All time favourite Movie – "Crank. It’s so crazy and so fun. And I love Bruce Willis movies, he’s great!"
and whitemiscief, ive seen both of those and they are amazing. you have excellent taste.
It's good that more women are getting media coverage and sponsorship!
I think it's unfair to judge people just on pictures, or videos even, infact it doesn't matter that Anita might not be the fastest girl on the hill, she's just had only 1 race so far?
Anita I think some people will always have bad things to say on the internet... I think better to ignore them and enjoy that everyone else is stoked for you.
Good luck for the 2010 season, I hope you'll have a good season!
Wasn't like that in the old days. 5 years ago we looked up to Cedric, Steve peat, Schley and Wade simmons. Now it's all antisocial geeks who do only one thing, and that's all they know or have in life.
You could say the sport's gone "dowhill".
Not to bash your riding, have a good one!
WOOOHOOOO GRRRL POWAH!
Errr, pretty sure Bruce Willis wasn't in that flick. Try....Jason Statham?
but whatever... all two guys, are nice! ^^
Goodluck for 2010 and keep on riding
die säääson wird goooil und mir segn uns sicher wieder öfters.
Schöne Grüße an die Trinkflasche
whoa i think im in love
are u from slovenia?
希望多一些漂亮的女士
motivates me a lot! ^^
Good for her to start racing. The more girls involved in the sport, the better.
This is not a knock agains Anita. I wish you well and hope you can find a team that will help you for next year; however, to the author, if you are going to write a bio on someone and tell us in the intro that she is great, then you might want to explain why or what she has done.
My GF (who rips) was all pissed about Bike's women edition a few back b/c there were full page pics of the girls all dressed up, but not SHREDDING. Image is everything (or nothing...depends on how you look at it!!)
One key thing about sponsor's is that they care more about the person who represents the company with a good attitude. "People need to respect you, and being a jerk in a chat room or out on the trails somewhere will likely not bode well. Sponsors would rather support the nice guy who finished third than the idiot who won." NORCO
"Sponsorship is something you work toward, and it usually takes time to build your rep." NORCO

Sure Anita isn't the most experienced person out there, but it seems she enjoys racing/riding, and obviously she still has her sponsors so she is doing her part.
So keep riding Anita and good luck for the 2010 season.
