Details Announced for SlamFest 2019 - Whitehorse, Yukon

PRESS RELEASE: SlamFest

In its 11th year running, SlamFest is back for 2019 presented by Icycle Sports, Chieftain Energy, & AirNorth August 31st & September 1st held at Mt. Sima Whitehorse, Yukon. Saturday will feature a new a 3-Stage Enduro Race along with a Kids race and Sunday will bring back a Downhill Race on the Sunday.

Entry fee is $25.00 if you register online or $35 for on-site registration. Prizes will be awarded for the top spots in each category as well a lots of other door prizes to be given away. If you are thinking of coming up to the Yukon, come out for some great fun, BBQ, and of course fun racing.

Approximate itinerary as follows:

Saturday

12:00 pm to 6pm: Chairlift open Saturday August 31st & Sunday Sept 1st .

12:00 pm - 2:00pm: On-site registration for both Enduro and Downhill Races.

2:30 pm: Enduro Race. Kids Race after all other racers are done.

5:00 pm: Awards ceremony.

5:45 pm: Last Chair up.

6:00 pm: Chairlift Closes.

7:00 pm: Movie Night and after Party in the Mount Sima Lounge.

Sunday

12:00 pm Chairlift opens.

12:00 pm - 3:00 pm: On-Site Registration for Downhill Race.

3:30 pm: Downhill Race. ALL RACERS MUST BE AT THE START GATE FOR NO LATER THEN 3:00pm.

3:30 pm: Downhill Race Start.

5:30 pm: Downhill Race Awards Ceremony.

5:45 pm: Last Chairlift up.

6:00 pm: Chairlift Closes.
