So everyone wants to go to Crankworx to see the slopestyle, all the races and hit up the parties at night right? What if I told you the best event wasn't at the hill, but rather in the woods behind Emerald just north of the village?
Well have a look at the fun times that were this year's 3rd Annual SRAM Wiffle Golf and Arm Wrestling invitational and enjoy the video too.
As soon as you roll up to the house you know you're gonna have a good time with a HUGE grill out front cooking meat, coolers full of Kokanee and Red Bull. The yard is set up like the ultimate BBQ and party zone from a commercial and you got invited. Grab a Wiffle Ball, a club, a score card and some bevies and get out there for a round of 18 holes.
Wiffle Golf is a pretty easy game to play. You get one hit per hole and this is the scoring break down.
+2 for a hole in one
+1 for on the "Green"
0 for anything not in the hole or on the green
-1 for a water hazard
So the best you can do on an 18 hole course is 36 and the worst would have to be -18. Well Geoff and I each ended up with a +1 so we were stoked with that.
If you don't stay out in the woods too long, you'll get fed when you get back from your game. Grab a burger or a dog, a bevy and it's time to socialize with the rest of the folks out enjoying a nice Wednesday night in Whistler. If you were feeling strong after a few Red Bulls it was time to test yourself against your peers at the Truvativ arm wrestling table. You could even win some money here if you beat Micayla-way to go Josh.
It was a nice fun evening with great people that were there to have some fun before heading to the village to get their serious party faces on. Thanks to everyone that came out and had fun and all those that helped make it happen. Here are the stories from the first two Invitational incase you missed them or wanted to revisit them
Enjoy the weekend and play safe everyone!
