Fantasy Update: Due to a technical difficulty and players only having 20 minutes to change their teams ahead of the RockShox Innsbruck Pump Track Challenge, we have decided not to count the points from Pump Track towards the overall. Dual Slalom, Speed & Style, Slopestyle, and DH will be the only events that help get you closer to a trip to Whistler.

Only Two Women? Will Women count for Fantasy?
  • 4 0
I don't see why not. But then you never know till 20 minutes before race time...

According to the rulebook, only Men's Speed & Style has points awarded; but it would be ideal to have a clarification from @edspratt or @sarahmoore

We've just had clarification that it's going to be run as one big open category. Separate categories will be brought in for Whistler

@jamessmurthwaite: It would have been good to clear things up more publicly. Women were on the starting list and I thought that they would compete against each other, like any other event. Next time this happens, you should be more upfront so that we don't "waste" our points.

good idea, Female riders are in the choosing list and Starlist. I will keep my hands on keyboard and mouse until clarification comes

The winning team for the Dual Slalom had 3 women on it. There was no indication in the rules that there would be points awarded for women & same goes for Dual Speed & Style. But, there are only 2, so that's a 1st & 2nd guaranteed if they treat Dual S&S like Dual Slalom.
Some clarification would be good.

@bikepurgatory1: expliain It again... So... Does the two women count for Speed AND style?
  • 3 0
 Not according to this www.pinkbike.com/news/fantasy-crankworx-league-contest-how-to.html

Pump track only and what would be the point seeing as there are only two in the field???

Why did Sam Reynolds get a -52 on the last jump when he crossed the timing beams before he fell off?
  • 1 0
I rewatched his final run in speed and style twice trying to work out how he lost with such a lead before I noticed they had increased his overall time for the final jump rather than deducting it as they should. I suppose he was too distracted picking himself up off the floor to notice. Robbed, he smashed third place.

What about players that chose their teams for pump track & Dual Slalom, they will also loose out?
Need some more forward thinking Here!

Would be a lot easier if just chose one team for whole event ?
  • 4 0
You'll keep the points you earned during Dual Slalom! Dual Slalom, Speed & Style, Slopestyle, and DH will all count towards the overall, we just dropped Pump Track.

MARTIN! Love seeing him on the podium. Such a nice dude. Even if it’s not a slope podium.
