Nino Schurter fought hard to get back to the leading group after a first corner pile up. He wound up in second between the two Cannondale teammates.

Check out who's taking the start line in the short track XCC race today.

Would have loved to see some real off-road tires in the women's race. There were some wiiiiide turns there as every one struggled for grip in the wet. Surely enough seconds could have been saved in the corners to counter the rolling resistance differences.

They were spinning on the straights (climbs) to it seemed, and thats just wasting energy. Nino said he is on "super mud tires" so it sounds like he agrees with you.

@pcassingham: It started to rain on the start line so didn't have a chance to swap to mud tires like the men did.

@between: That makes more sense, I started watching it a half lap in so I guess I missed that, thanks.

Is Yana Belomoina not racing? I did not see her on the list.

Yeah, she is not in start list for XCO as well. My day and fantasy team is ruined.
