Read on for more information and to check out the video!Lizard Skins has been creating high performance accessories for many years now, just like Steve Peat and winning World Cup Races. Well Peaty is back at it. Teaming up with business partner Nick Bayliss from Royal Racing, and in conjunction with Lizard Skins, Steve Peat has created the "Peaty" grip. The "Peaty" is a soft compound grip, with custom engraved Lizard Skins "Peaty" logo on it.

Ready To Rock

Produced in either a Red, White, and Blue combo or Grey and Red color scheme you can either be patriotic, or be rolling on the "Peaty" grip secretly. Recently i switched my old beat up grips out for a set of these "Peaty" grips, and of course guys, Dolla-Bill picked the whites, because we all know that white is the bomb. Unfortunately these grips don't go see through in water.

The other day i had the chance to go out, and give the grips a test ride. Let me tell you guys, i was super happy how they turned out. I don't know if Peat and I have got the same paw size, but i felt super at home, and you guessed it, happy with the new grips!

So if you think you're a clean enough rider to roll with the whites, giver! However here's a little discretion for you guys. White does not stay white, after a few crashes, and rubbing your glove on it, it will get dirty. However, they do make a graphite colored version as well. You can get the grips through Lizard Skins, or through your local bike shop. Thanks for watching folks, have an awesome week.

As Steve Peat himself would say: CHEERS!

Your video missed the #1 key point about installing grips that EVERY kid messes up...

DON'T OVER-TIGHTEN THE LOCK-ONS!!!

Lock-on screws strip very easily, and they are a pain in the *** to remove afterwards.

Can you explain it slower I did not catch how to change those grips! And is it the same thing with the left grip?

Cmon man if u start saying that they'll stop making these videos and I like them (although this one was basic) plus next time you can learn something from them that you didn't know... tips and tricks I'd call'em and prob get more complicated and end up with showing you how to service you shox or forks who knows... xD

Hey folks. A few things here that i realized from the comments. 1) Compared to the ODI ruffian grips. Width wise and comfort wise i would imagine they would feel the same. The rubber compound seems more soft on the Peaty's, and there is a different grip pattern. 2) Any color'd grip is going to get dirty, however, the Peaty's havent been extremely bad for me yet. Yes, i have crashed / dipped them in the dirt, and they seem to be holding up just fine. Sure they are not the vibrant white they were before, but they are not brown. I would imagine you could clean them with any household cleaner, i would be tempted to use Vim or something like that (bathroom cleaner, but with no bleach in it because it may damage the rubber)

Dude you forget to expain how to remove the lock jaws from the grip and put them back on the new ones, that way is cheaper cuz you don have to buy the expensive kit thet cames with the locks that you used in the video.

Hey y'all - Peaty is close to retirement - we've gotta buy these things to give him some flow for when he hangs up his pedals.... Personally, I reckon the pro's don't do enough of this kinda thing. I for one will support their products if they're at least AS good as what else is on offer.

hum its so easy to critizice others, maybe you know that , but theres people who dont, so if you dont like it or know it, dont watch it, by the way great vid, those grips look niiice, not pretty sure on the color, they are getting dirrty!!

^^ we're having fun with these videos man, try to enjoy them for what they are-simple instructional. Honestly more folks will watch a simple task that they themselves CAN do versus servicing a rear shock or the pivots on a given bike. But who knows, maybe that's next for us.

Those look quite thin. How r they compared to Odi Ruffians?
  • 0 0
I just measured my Ruffians (29mm) and Jordan's Peaty grips (30.5mm), so the Peaty is a wee bit thicker, but the grip pattern blocks are larger and softer so it could be a very similar feel once you've got a little pressure on the bars.
