Straitline Components and Ryan Berrecloth to Release "Bear Systems"

Apr 1, 2009
by Jordan Holmes
Straitline Components of British Columbia, Canada have teamed up North Shore Local Ryan Berrecloth to launch new safety measures for the infamous North Shore and Whistler regions of BC.

Controversy has been stirring over new safety measures for all mountain bikers as mandatory bear laws come into effect as early as this month, banning all lift and trail access to those not compliant.

Straitline Components has just released a promo video to educate people on the product and new law that will be in effect all across BC.

Greg at Straitline says "I personally vow to enforce and educate riders on the use of our Bear System and will be at every Trail head and lift lines this summer checking everyone's Bikes!"

Followed up with the fact that "It is estimated that bears kill over 2 million salmon a year! However, Salmon attacks on bears are much more rare!".

Straitline warns to all North Shore riders that it's coming up very soon to bear season, so be prepared and cautious. Here's a link to the conversation about the new by law.

Then you may die. These are Bear Bells. The Jaguar will just roll around and dance at the sound before eating you. Bear Bells!! I just made fun of everyone on the VOD side so why not spout off here. Jaguars are not in our design but please let me know if it works!

That sucks that potentialy certain places could be banned if they are not compliant. But, its a good thing since it is to do with rider safety Smile At least someone cares about riders these days Big Grin
