If you're between the ages of 13–18 and are interested in a supportive team environment that is designed to help you progress as an athlete, this could be the program for you.
Now In its third year, Strand Training’s Youth Rider Development Team is an organized team environment and opportunity, led by Katrina Strand and Yoann Barelli, that will allow riders to progress, challenge themselves, and learn what it takes to be an athlete, good sportsperson, and human being.
The ideal candidate will be a youth that is motivated and disciplined, willing to make sacrifices and has short and long-term goals related to that of a mountain bike athlete. It is not intended for the recreational mountain bike rider/racer who enjoys competition but has no goals relating to long-term sport commitment.
This team focuses on Enduro and Downhill for competition. Athletes are encouraged to try and compete in both mountain bike disciplines in order to gain a well-rounded approach to competitive cycling but can choose to focus on one over the other.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application form and/or for more information. Applications are due October 31st.
We do wish we could support the world, but this team, team projects, and competitive events that we attend are based in British Columbia, Canada. Logistically, the right applicant will have to be based in B.C. Supported by: Commencal Canada, Fox Head, Fox Shox, Marzocchi, Ride 100 percent, Ride Wrap.
