Sunday Funnies From 'Over the Bars' Comics

One of the coolest things about mountain biking is that it's almost invariably fun. Even after a day with a crash, most of us get back to our cars or houses, bloodied but grinning, and think, "man... that was fun. Just what I needed." And, it feels like that whether we went out on a solo mission, or with other people. When it comes to the other riders that hit the trails with us, it seems like they come in all types.

From our XC buddy that could be, or actually is, a rocket scientist:

Because even if he takes it easy, there aren't many human beings cooler than the dude taking off his full face at the bottom of the mountain to reveal a lifetime of wrinkles, a wild mop of snow-white hair, and the smile of stoke plastered all over his dentures.

And while we may get frustrated with the "status no" from time to time:


We'll get out there on whatever rig we have to enjoy some quality riding. 'Cause man... mountain biking is fun.
