Utilizing a modular shock mount, the frame can be configured as 130mm travel or 150mm travel without changing rear end geometry. The SQWEEB is truly tunable to handle long days in the saddle, exploring above tree line, sending it at the bike park, or racing against the clock. The bike's progressive geometry and playful feel will be sure to keep you sending it wherever the trail takes you.

The 2020 SQWEEB is redefined with an updated aluminum tubeset, lighter pivot hardware and oversized tapered head tube increasing stiffness, strength and aesthetics. The modernized geometry increases standover (and seat post insertion), lengthens the reach, steepens the seat angle and is developed around 140mm to 170mm travel forks to compliment suspension configurations and terrain.

COMMUNITY PARTNERS
Oskar Blues Brewery
OB has traditionally been considered a Colorado Company; however, since their East Coast Brewery settled in Brevard, NC they have stake in the conservation of the Pisgah Ranger District as they are next door neighbors. Since establishing in NC they have been heavily involved in the local community by supporting events, funding non-profit initiatives, providing local jobs, and creating a great informal atmosphere for a post ride beer!

The Pisgah Conservancy
The Pisgah Conservancy will support the environmental, social, and financial sustainability of Pisgah’s trails for a variety of recreational uses. This means, among other things, working with federal, state, and local agencies and other interested parties to maintain trail stability, reduce erosion and flow of sediments to waterways, prevent unacceptable impacts on wildlife and cultural resources, ensure that trails and trail shelters are not in disrepair and are supported by user groups and volunteers, make sure that they serve a meaningful purpose within a trail complex (or, if not, support their decommissioning), promote user safety (including through improved signage), help open and maintain approved scenic vistas, and contribute sustainable funding for the trails. Where appropriate, TPC will support improvements to and maintenance of trailhead complexes and Forest Service roads to help improve parking, sanitation, and access to trails.

THE FOREST
A primary goal of The Pisgah Conservancy is to enhance the recreational experience of visitors to Pisgah while protecting the rich natural resources that attract them in the first place. Construction and maintenance of infrastructure in the District, including trails, trailheads, buildings, monuments, parking lots, and other facilities will play a central role in accomplishing this mission. At the time of the founding of TPC, a substantial majority of the trails on Pisgah do not satisfy the National Quality Standards for Trails. For as long as TPC exists, our goal will be that 100% of the trails are upgraded to meet those standards - Protecting Pisgah’s natural resources and supporting the fantastic recreation that our forest and community fosters.

BLAH BLAH BLAH...., Nothing will get done except PISS POOR trail work by Geezers that are terribly educated in trail preservation within a SubTropical Rain Forest, multitudes of dangerous erosion control mounds will be created that will catch many of guard thinking it is a jump (NOT). Huge Bench cut Flow trails will be laid out everywhere eventually, abolishing 99% of all the natural rugged terrain; with the said intent to restore and make safe.

This is how its always been in WNC, but Please Prove me wrong and use the funding to properly maintain those trails and not alter it's ruggedness making everything easy just for the future hoards of Couch Potato People buying EBIKEs to run Amok all over in the Wilderness.

Nice Bike BTW!

How many PAS work days have you gone out and contributed to then?
  • 1 0
My experience Trail work days seem to be 3 to 1 old geezers. PAS and Friends of Dupont.
  • 1 0
@Randy-Verified: You’re not wrong, but if more non-geezers showed up and put in the work it could alter the dynamic and thus the net results. Trails don’t magically maintain themselves, complaining about the quality of volunteer work is selfish at best.
  • 1 0
@Djfuturejuice: My bad for sounding negative. PAS, Conserving Carolina and Friends of DuPont are salt of the earth people Who work there butts off and do great work. That’s why people come from around the country to Brevard.

The Big Dig’s brought a younger crowd and were great for meeting people. Unfortunately large groups are not allowed at the moment. I hope trail stewardship culture grows and we can bring it to more riders and hikers.

@Djfuturejuice: When the travel and opportunity presents itself I Work alone or with another person, don't care much for work parties and know what needs moved, removed, cutback, drained, etc.; hands on moving along keeping things simple and only needed. When its rough the chainsaw and shovels come out.Get it done and go ride the shit.
