NS Bikes Shows Off Szymon Godziek's Custom Painted Rampage Bike

Oct 24, 2019
by NS Bikes

26" ain't dead, baby! Not at Red Bull Rampage - that's for sure. As you probably know, Szymon, as well as a few other riders, prefers the small MTB wheel for their freeride machines and this one is no different. The custom geometry Fuzz has all the angles aligned with the needs of the two-six. The "Rastafari" custom paint job was Szymon's own choice. Silver decals match the polished alloy parts from NS, Octane One and Hope Tech.

Long, low and slack don't quite belong here

Quite a few silver polish details here and there
Cause, who needs gears, right?
Brake package from Hope
Szymon is probably the only rider, or one of few, to use Ohlins suspension during 2019 Rampage

 Sick looking bike - cool to see Ohlins out at Rampage.

 Tech nerd question. Anyone know if that rear cog is singlespeed specific or ripped straight from a 10/11 speed cassette and running a 10/11 speed chain? Assuming 10/11 speed in the first place.

 @streetkvnt-kvlt: I'm pretty sure a 1/8" chain wouldn't stay on that n/w ring

 @jzPV: I don't see why it wouldn't. There are no problems with running a 1/8" chain on normal 3/32" rings and cogs, it just runs a bit noisy

 @mnorris122: on a true single speed setup yes, but as soon as you have a chain tensioner or derailleur not so much. I don't think the n/w teeth engage with a wider chain. Didn't work for me at least. On a commuter.

 That forging is the sickest thing I’ve seen this week. It goes to a show there are still cool new things that can be done without reinventing the wheel

 Is that really forged or just a neat looking sticker?

 @Levin192: the real deal..

 I love his bike for the general randomness, I hate pedantic color schemes.

 @Levin192: I think it’s real. If you change the picture to XL and zoom in it looks like there’s scuffing that matches the rest of the link.

 26" bikes just look superb. Balance between wheel and frame works.

 True. If you look at the first pic though it looks like a 26" front and 24" rear mullet bike. Nice rig.

 @greg1: second pic is reverse mullet lol

 Are those different levers on the hope brakes? Can confirm hope v4s are prime with some longer levers, people only complain about pack of power because of the stubby levers. If you can get enough force in to them they deliver the goods.
