Pinkbike's Share the Ride donated a large collection of bikes, helmets and swag to the children at Morley Community School.

With a whopping 2058 contributors we surpassed our goal, raising a total of $64,956!

The kids were so excited about the new bikes that they rode circles around the gym until complete exhaustion.

For the orphans living in the Outlaw - Children and Youth Aid Centre in Dresden, Germany, this winter day was like none other.

Share the Ride took on a new meaning in Rotorua, with a program being set up that allowed children from all over to participate in MTB skills rides. Ten of these children were gifted bikes after the program ended during Crankworx, and have since had their lives changed forever.

This year with he help of Prateek Signh and the Jungle Crows Foundation we were able to give 42 kids in India new bikes as part of Share the Ride. These kids can now ride to school, but most importantly have fun and two wheeled freedom.

Santa and his Trek Elves have been working hard at getting all the little grom bikes ready for our 2nd Annual Share the Ride program here at Calgary Cycle. With the generous support from Pinkbike.com and the collaboration of Pure Cycle and calgarycycleonline.com we are able to bring smiles to over four dozen families this holiday season. We have been accepting donations from the public and we have been able to provide over $14,000 worth of bikes for some amazing kids.

Well fellow cycling maniacs 'tis the season to be merry. As we all know, nothing can make a cycling nut happier during the festive season than a new ride! No one knows this better than the boys at Pinkbike. A few years back we participated in an event they held annually called “Share the Ride”. This event gives bikes to kids who do not have the means. To me the love affair with bikes begins when we get our first wheeled contraption. Be it a big-wheel, a trike or a bmx. We just grow up feeling the wind on our face and fall in love. Nothing brings a tear to my eye faster than a child never feeling that freedom. The Pinkbike lads did a beautiful thing when they gave away bikes to kids in need. We had a great time participating in Calgary.

We had it all set up in a school gymnasium and got to see a hundred or so kids get new bikes for Christmas. It couldn’t have been any better.

Russ Bock the winner of the Devinci District 1 at this years AFA's is a generous man! After winning the bike he called us up a few days later and said he wanted to donate the bike to needy kids. We were pretty amazed!

Last year we organized cyclists in Operation Share The Ride and gave dozens of bikes away to kids for Christmas. You, as a member of pinkbike and as a member of the cycling community can be proud of doing something amazing for society.
