I was up at the Alpine Bikes Winter Series round one in Scotland on Saturday for some scary riding in very icy conditions. After getting the nod that the race was going to be canceled, we packed up in the evening and some 350 miles later we were down at the Forest of Dean in Gloucester for 08:00.

Who needs sleep when there is a race to attend...

On the 6th of December, 2009 and the Forest of Dean was the place to be. Christmas is around the corner but who is getting fat? Is it the Goose or is it you? Time to check out if all that gym and dirty road work is paying off. December time for a race? You bet, it wasn't even that cold.

Six Six One had their DROID deflector on display in Vegas. The Droid is hard shell armor with neck support built into it (think Leatt brace). This patent pending piece of armor looks interesting and they are expecting to see many athletes on it in 2010.

This time we were south of the big smoke that is London. PORC - Penshurst Off Road Club near Penshurst in Kent.

The last one, the third 661 Mini Downhill went down at Chicksands, the U.K.'s Mountain Bike version of Disneyland and Woodward. The Pinkbike Squadron flew down the M1 J15 towards the Big Smoke of London and diverted off towards what can only be described as a must do day out.

We're back at the Forest of Dean again and what a turnout, 250 riders and glorious sunshine. After weeks of freezing temperatures, snow and rain it felt like Benidorm. Crowd control in place and for the first time ever here in the U.K, we had 10 year olds on track in the "Rippers" category!

From gnarly rock drops to off camber, loose, exposed pseudo-berms, to 20 foot step-downs, or concrete-reinforced dirt jumps, Bootleg’s got it all. While shuttling up with at least 40 other riders and their (borrowed) sweet rides, you can’t help but thank your respective diety. How can you go wrong?

Balfa Cycles will be attending the Sea Otter Classic for the first time in its existence. We are very excited to be travelling to California for this great event and to have the opportunity to show our fine products to you and the American cyclists.
