Matt has been working hard over the winter to produce this inspirational video featuring a selection of his best riding footage over the last few months. What makes this video unique is that the rider featured in the footage, Matt Gilman, is actually blind.
Dylan Korba and the Norco Bike Division have been busy working on a prototype 24" Street Trials bike. The aptly named Green Goblin is ready for a beating and will get one once Dylan gets his hands on it. Dustan took it out for a spin for us as we wanted to see it in action.
Bike trials is often thought of as navigating your bike over objects such with out putting your feet down, but can be ridden on something as simple as a curb. The ever growing UK trial's scene has mainly departed from its traditional “comp” style riding as the majority has moved to “street” and “TGS” (tap gap sidehop) style riding.
Enjoy the videos and a few pics inside depicting the newer TGS style of trials,

Today’s children are our future generation; with all the pressures placed upon students, it has become difficult for them to follow their heart and choose the path that feels right to them. With all the challenges today’s world is facing, it is more important than ever that our children have a clear vision for their future. With help from The Co-operators, I was able to use my unique and fortunate position as a professional mountain biker to relate to these children.
Over two months on the road. 27 school presentations. 17 bike shop or festival demonstrations. 17,761 km’s driven (fully offset through Climate-Friendly).
Huge thanks to my official tour sponsor, The Co-operators.
My visit to Peterborough Ontario was such an amazing experience. I met up with the the Cops for Cancer, Pedal for Hope crew, they were my hosts for the first few days of the visit. The police officers raised $140,000 for cancer research on their 3 week tour, where they visited 50 schools by bike.
Day 8 of my tour has just come to an end, and it ends in Regina. So far I have presented to 8 schools, and performed at 2 bike shops. I know my journal message is being reposted in various places, so for those that don’t know what my school presentation is all about, check out the new web site, www.trialsoflife.com
North Shore-style mountain biking ace Ryan Leech noticed something about how children regard elite athletes about a year ago, and he responded by changing his path. While some highly gifted pros duck the responsibility of being role models, he pursued it.
