MS Mondraker
VoulVoulRacing TeamThe historical race here in Fort William - Scottland - is in the books. It was a tough one for our team but we are all still in one piece. It sure wasn't what we expected and what we came here for after the successful french cup the week before the World Cup where we were able to take the overall lead. Marine had a great race though and we are stoked to see her on the podium!
We are now on our way to Leogang / Austria for the third round of the UCI Mountainbike World Cup and another weekend of racing.
The YT MobDespite a great start to his finals run in Fort William, Aaron Gwin had an uncharacteristic over the handlebar crash in a section of the track that took out his teammate, Angel Suarez, nearly an hour earlier. Despite the warm and sunny conditions, some sections of the track were still suffering from high levels of moisture and low levels of grip, thanks to heavy overnight storms. Aaron still managed to finish in 20th place and retains the series lead.

Commencal/Vallnord Riding AddictionThis World Cup was absolutely amazing, incredible and fantastic! Amaury Pierron won his first ever World Cup! After Remi Thirion in 2013 (who finished 12th yesterday!), it's the second time we have an Elite Men's victory in the team history! Myriam Nicole and Thibaut Dapréla finished 2nd and keep to the white jersey on their shoulders! All these good results achieved by our riders gave us the honour to be Team of the Day!
Polygon URThe beginning of the season was far from ideal for the Polygon UR Team: Mick and Tracey walked away injured from Losinj. Alex had damaged his shoulder in a freak incident at an IXS race and Kenta hadn't regained all of his strength yet from his broken humerus. We were all longing for some repentance at round 2! In Scotland, all riders raced at a good pace and even if Mick didn't make it into the finals, Alex and Kenta got some solid results and Tracey made it back onto the podium with a crash-free race run. More to come in Leogang next weekend.
Trek Factory RacingOnce again on the first weekend of June the team makes the annual pilgrimage up to Fort William for the Mountain Bike World Cup. Last year Gee was out with injury and Rach unfortunately picked one up during practice. So it was good to have the full crew back it once again for the biggest race of the year.

And holy crap does the new protected rider format FOKK the independent and privateers so damn hard!
Kind of hope he gets a gig covering the races...kind of hope he does his own thing and whatever Patreon is....pays him his worth
I just used Neko as my main example. He wouldn't have made any of the 1st 4 live feeds if my math was correct despite qualifying top 20 in the 1st 2 rounds, finishing 7th in both, being ranked in the top 10 in points for the first 4 rounds. I may be off by maybe 1 appearance because I had to ballpark it.
But yeah, we're gonna see the same 18-22 riders in every single feed this year. My estimate is there will only be 3 riders getting on the live feed that don't have a "reservation".
We pinkbikers are a damn weird crowd
me neither...
so there should be SOME bike parky courses, but ft bill. is far from natural...
