Great report, looking forward to see more of this kind of trip reviews in this community.
The Azores Islands are the 2nd best Islands in the world for sustained tourism (National Geographic Magazine), and one of best for all-round mountain-bike rides and for downhill!
Great Reportage - really liked the format. Looks like the Portugese answer to the Canary Islands, and then some. Would have been even sweeter to be able to click into high res images for some of the smaller shots in the collage.
Direct Flights 3/4 hour away from Boston and Toronto with SATA Airlines and it's 2/3 hours away from most european airports with EasyJet and Ryanair. Book with a href="http://www.azoresadventureislands.com">azoresadventureislands.com/a>, and check general tourism information in visitazores.com!
We've been to Azores for the first time a few weeks ago, and it's just magical. The landscape, the trails and the people are truly amazing. Great report Raven Eye ! It was good to travel back there for a few moments !
I want to go here but.... "See the way that my bank account is set up The thing is I got the checking in the savings .. But all the money is in my savings So I gotta switch it to my checking but its gon’ take 3 business days I don’t think its gon’ go through" KH
Yep, Sata International has direct flights from Boston and Toronto to São Miguel island. From there take the ferry from the May to September or the inter island airline.
I was looking on the SATA website and was able to find really decent airfares from TORONTO, ON to TERCERIA ISLAND, PORTUGAL.
The airfare I was quoted was below $400.00/person (LIGHT only one baggage + carry on) plus any additional fees for a bike; I feel like that is rather affordable for an experience like that....

You won´t regret it
Cheers!
