yeah freaking awesome, the edit and music, just perfect, and anybody can compare the fearon edit and metailler, fearon kick a mountain in the estside of the canada in BROMONT, a very little mountain !! my spot ! not similar to the big Whistler mountain !!
He's so amazingly fast, and the video captures it. Not too much unnecessary slow-mo, and when they do use it, it's used sparingly. One of my favorite DH videos of all time.
I still come back to watch the Fearon video. The other ITK videos are awesome as well. But they should have at least went full orchestra on the Coastal Crew edit. I'm no fan of piano music. Just a personal preference.
@jord187 It's not about size, it's what you do with it. At least that's what I keep telling myself! I'd say it's a pretty tough call between Metailler and Fearon but no one seems to carry corner speed like Fearon.
Devils advocate here: in the one shot segment/edit (that's another debate) he switched to a DH bike like 2/3 of the way in. That disqualifies it or does it.......
Just gonna say Kelly McGarry's ODI video was one of the best and most emotional and heart warming videos I've ever seen. Since it was so special I think it deserves a special spot here AND its own page next year! Kelly was a legend! Rest in peace Kelly!!!
I know they just released it now in 2016, but that Kelly McGarry video was honestly my favorite. Captured my favorite rider being who he is with his kick ass dog. No words, just kept it simple.
how are not more people voting for - In The Know - Curtis Robinson and Dylan Dunkerton, between the music and the cinematography and not to mention the ridding it has to be one of the best films of all of last year
I don't know how this page hasn't crashed yet with the insane amount of steeze that's on it. You know the last time pinkbike did something like this, a person died of steeze overload.
Can't believe none of Caldwell Medias videos make it, as well as none of the Juicy Lube videos. Nearly no other videos make me as stoked to go ride as those British rude boys drifting the shit out of the ground and bottoming their suspension with some sick punk or drum and bass music in the background. For example Phil Atwill is one of the guys that if I watch him shred, I just HAVE to hop on my bike and go out and shred.
George Brannigans edit had the exact same effect on me though, watched that one so many times. Thereby I voted for him in the first poll.
In the second poll, Matt MacDuff is the sickest guy. Insane skills, great personality and super stoked to ride, which makes me stoked to ride. He is pushing boundaries so hard. Can't wait for Pure Darkness 3 and to see him ride the biggest loop in history. Thereby in the second category I voted for Matt. Voted for Pure Darkness 2 as it was something new and unique, just pure madness. Gets me more stoked to ride than pretty any DVD quality edit.
Hey Pinkbike, why not allow the DJ video contest 16 entries, too? I'm sure there would be enough great vids to fill the list and I'm really surprised that VVC Force 2015 was not included: www.pinkbike.com/news/vvc-force-2015-full-movie-2015.html
He is leading by far. Video graphically it is indeed the best video in the poll and his riding is super sick and super dialed, especially to pull all of those tricks so well in one run. Very unique. But it is not the video that gets me most stoked to ride, which is what I feel is most important and what I will vote for. I get more pumped to hop on my bike and go outside immediatly by watching George Brannigan and Matt MacDuff their edits.
Maybe it's the begging for money via go fundme thing because you dont want to get a job that is a put off..... but seriously, fuck anything that Mcduff has a hand in
Wow, you obviously never met the guy. He's one of the coolest guys in the cycling industry with an extreme passion for cycling. He pushes street riding and slopestyle creativity to a whole new level that has never been seen before. He's not begging for money, neither is he out for money. He purely cares about cycling and is making things that were considered impossible a reality. He pushes our sport more than any DH / enduro racer out there. Big props to Matt for being awesome and can't wait what unreal projects he will blow our minds with in the future.
PS: please note that the maximum that professional mtb street riders usually achieve with sponsorships is free bikes, parts and protection. I don't think there is a single MTB street rider at the moment who can make a full time living off riding street. Can't compare his situation to for example professional downhill racers, who make $50.000 to $200.000 per racing year (not including the rumors that Gwinn's sponsorship deal for this year is worth $500.000).
Maybe as a friend, you should pull his cock out of your mouth and incourage him to get a job. Other than the fan boy shit, I think were on the same page. He doesn't make the big money because he doesnt have the big talent. #getaf*ckingjob
Wow, your level of stupidy is not worth spending time to argue. Every once in a while I get shocked about how insanely retarded some people are and you are one of them.
You're doing it wrong.
