As summer comes to a close on Vancouver Island, it gets harder and harder to fit in those after work and after school rides. Over ambitious ride plans often end in the dark. However, it's pretty hard to beat dropping in with a sunset and getting that last golden light to finish your ride.

I want to comment on this but I cant tell where the video starts since it didn't open with an overhead drone of foggy evergreen with thin weighted center type. :/
Update: after a couple scrubs, I found the start, weirdly at the beginning. I'm really appreciating getting right to dirt.
Gotta stop watching videos like that, makes me wanna do the same thing! My head thinks I am 17 but my body brutally reminds me when I crash that I am almost 50...
@sam250652: first half is grinder which is off of huge ribbon. Grinder is my favorite trail at hartland for sure. drops, jumps, and it is nice and steep!.
@mangochaos: You'll have so much fun! One thing you have to make note of, once you're about halfway down Huge Ribbon, there will be an obvious trail about 60 degrees to your right, and another less obvious trail, 150 degrees to you left. You want to take the trail to your left. The trail right goes 1k downhill over to the backside and you will have a very unpleasent ride back to the parking lot (Speaking from experience) Also, the climb is pretty bad if you've never been to the summit. Worth it though
@islandforlife: if coming from breathless its on the left. you come to a rock bluff/clearing that is on the left and it is about 200 meters past that also on the left.
