It's called off Season for a reason, the Alps are covered with snow and we´d usually go somewhere south and warm to get some riding in. This trip was somehow different, when we landed in Louisville we were welcomed by a raging snow storm and the harshest winter Kentucky has seen for 15 years, -24 degrees / -11 Fahrenheit, Car wrecks lay scattered over the main highways, shops were closed. Just like I would imagine Armageddon.
Could there be a better place to hide than an abandoned Mine with mild temperatures all year round, perfectly built trails and a coffee shop?
Warning - after watching this you might want to grab a shovel and dig a hole in your garden. The moment when the lights went on and it went from infinite darkness to an incredible network of trails proved that Trail builder, Joseph Prisel has done an incredible job.
Trails Trails Trails. No excuses, whatever bike you own, you´ll find something for you... Riding in the pitch black might be an option in the future. The only hurdle to climb are the insurance companies... Singletrails and Jumplines. From 29er to Dirtbike in a second, nowhere are trails and proper jumps so close together. More
