That's a lot of money to stand out in the desert..... Just saying....
  • 3 0
@scottlink: agreed. And be penned into the spectator area. Back when it was $20 and you could hike to watch where you wanted were the days.
  • 2 2
@weezyb: except people ruined it by knocking rocks into peoples lines and getting in the way.... those were not the days. You can still get around if you explore a bit instead of following the crowd.
  • 1 1
@scott-townes: Yeah dealing with a bunch of kooks spending $500 to be driven into to the venue is way better than the old days....to each their own though.
  • 2 1
@weezyb: I'm not sure how the shuttle service affects or changes the experience for you but maybe we have different priorities.
  • 2 3
Buy a ticket LOL. It's all BLM land just show up with your bike and ride out there like you own the place. There's no fences and it's all wide open desert space. Buy a ticket grow a pair. Buy a ticket for land that you're already allowed to be on sure LOL.
  • 1 2
Sheeple always want to follow the crowd what happened to all the individuals in mountain biking who used to stand out
  • 2 1
 @pinnityafairy: Uhhh its private land....
  • 2 1
@pinnityafairy: Have you been there? With a permit they can absolutely keep you from entering.
I guess you can find a way to sneak in if youre really trying to save $65. BTW what did you spend on your totally unnecessary mountain bike?
  • 1 3
@owlie: useless mountain bike? Can't say I've ever seen you at any race ride or Enduro.
  • 2 1
@pinnityafairy: well I don't live in Ohio so there's that. I can't say I've ever seen you either at a bme.
  • 1 3
@owlie: I don't live in Ohio either. It's just my home state. I'm everywhere from West Coast to East Coast. Been there done that
  • 3 1
@pinnityafairy: STFU with your weak ass flex. It isnt even BLM bro. Its private. You look like an asshat

Bought mine! After so many year of saying I should do it! I finally did it and bought them. Now to book flights, decide where we camp, organize car rental and all that jazz!! Now how many days should I get there before the event!
  • 4 1
Fly into vegas. Rent a car. Drive out. Theres camping onsite. Just need to get a reservation.
  • 3 0
I will go from Chile with a friend. We got the flight to Las Vegas, arrive the 24th, and we will plan to visit the place the same day before the day of finals if it possible. We have accommodation in Hurricane that it is the nearly place to stay to event (in Virgin and La Verkin I didn't found). Hope this tips are servicial for you, and if anyone have any tips for us you´re welcome (for message or here)!

@onemanarmy: When I didn't see an official camping on site option with the tickets, I emailed Redbull and they said no camping option was available this year: T"here will not be this year, but you can find many great place to camp near by most bike trails."

Kinda cryptic for a first time attendee such as myself. I assume the meaning is that you can primitive camp nearby. Anyone know?
  • 3 0
@DanKaplan: There is a ton of free camping spots about a 1/4 mile from the entrance to the site. However if you are camping there don't plan on people shutting it down early to go to sleep. Many campsites will be raging into the night lighting off fireworks and playing music loud. It is tradition and all part of the experience in my opinion. With that said there are multiple other spots just further down the road that would be more secluded and quiet.
  • 2 0
@DanKaplan: Yes , google map the area. We camped across the street up a dirt rd that led to a trailhead. Many other campers as well. Kalob canyon rd maybe?
  • 2 0
I would suggest getting there Tue or Wed before the event. The campsites up Kolob rd. fill up pretty fast from National Park people and Rampage attendees alike so if you want a good spot showing up a few days early is a good bet. Plenty of trails and activities to keep you entertained.
  • 2 0
@DanKaplan: Camping will be in the JEM trail system between Hurricane and Virgin. Plenty of dispersed camping. Google earth it.

May as well set up some grand stands and Box suits while they are at it.

 Join Waitlist? really?
  • 3 0
Yeah, usually sells out within 10-15 mins. At least they have a waitlist this year which will give you priority when the next batch goes on sale.
  • 4 0
You can still get The Experience. Go on, you deserve it - you've been good.
  • 2 0
@endlessblockades: I'm not shy about wasting money on bike stuff, but I expected more perks than lunch for an extra $435

@tttyyler: "Friday event access; Guided group hike to the event start; Shuttle access to and from the event site on both days; Bike valet access; Lunch voucher for both days; Preferred viewing during finals; Seven-day Zion National Park pass; Signature Rampage merchandise item. "

C'mon you get Group Hiking - how fun!

@scott-townes: for sure, I've gone the last 2 years. just weird, I was looking into this last week and zero info about when they go on sale, then presto On Sale. little details matter, "Additional GA tickets will be released on 9/15 and 10/15" got alarms set to watch those days.
  • 1 0
@jamesvtw: haha yup. I got a heads up last year thankfully so less stress than this year. I have to admit, it was so nice in 2008, 2010 and 2012 when barely anyone except for people on PB knew about it and tickets were cheap and easy to get.
  • 1 0
Does anyone need a GA Ticket? They are $85 and I have to transfer to you via their online portal. Let me know!
  • 1 0
I DO! You still have it??
  • 1 0

Tip from a local: This is Utah, you can camp just about anywhere you like.
  • 2 0
We got chased out of JEM area last year for being within a 100 feet of a trailhead. So not quite anywhere
